  15. OK.....here's a tip.... find where they're nesting and watch which flight path they approach on, sit yourself there and you won't go wrong. OR you can sometimes squeak them in......
  16. He was seen at ten yards on opening day morning. My friend couldn't get a shot, even at such close range, I could have dropped him but I only had the camera. oh well, he's there for next time. I've seen him three times in the last week and he really is a wall-hanger and that's where he's gonna end up if my friend ever manages to catch up with him. Saw three clean bucks and at least a dozen with velvet on opening day morning. Sure was good to get out and see a few deer....
  17. The Magnum 116 is unique to the UK. 'Conibear' is the generic name given to this type of trap, after the inventor. OTC is the member with the real knowledge of the history. Alan Fenn famously used a statement claiming the Springers were illegal when they first came out. I've got a copy somewhere, but the orders have changed quite a bit since then. Yes Matt, I am aware of the conibear 'umbrella', but, pertaining to the 110's which company cloned off which?? No reason, just playing devil's advocate...
  18. Just thinking for a moment...which is the clone? Is Duke/bellisle/etc a clone of BMI or the other way around???
  19. IMO....and it's only IMO the mirrors are a BIG waste of money... It all boils down to price, what you can afford to spend, how important is it to get quality images?. I've had the lot of the Sigma's and I'm here to tell you that they are leagues below Canon and Nikon lenses. Facts are, you get what you pay for. that just about sums the whole lens thing up 'cos there sure as hell ain't no short cuts or a cheap way to consistantly getting top class piccys....IMO.....JD
  20. Theres several makes of bodygrips, why didn't they test a selection of them? I hear Duke do have a bad reputation in the USA in the larger sizes, but we're talking small traps for small mammals, I can't see how they would fail. I've handled Duke's as well as other makes, including Bellisle, and they all seem the same to me in the smaller sizes....can anyone shed some light??
  21. They won't have eggs until May I shouldn't think......
  22. Not if you want lob's it isn't. Theres different types of worm and they have differing uses. Myself, I don't think Lobs can be beat...
