  1. nearly spit me coffee out then he has covered a few subjects Yes, But Baw...my books are written from experience, unless I am interviewing. I don't think you can critisise when you have spent so long on this site being the resident 'expert' on everything it seems. You must have a mighty quiet season when you can afford to have such a high post count all through the autumn and winter. Why not switch your computer off and get out hunting, learn something, your views might not be so blinkered then........Just a thought....
  2. he's in it!!! did you do the chapter on Lucas Jonathan ? No mate, i haven't seen the dog run.....
  3. Two hares boxing isn't always of opposite sexes.....Despite what many wildlife experts have told us in the past. I'll look forward to trying and taking a few pics Lansera next time I'm in your area....
  4. no, not at all. I am not very well travelled...but...I'm sure that a hare is a hare and a running dog is a running dog no matter where they are in the world. Trebling up is still trebling up no matter whether its here or at the North Pole. Are they out to be sportsmen or are they out to kill the hare come-what-may? Are they out to test their dogs...or just kill the hare ? Like I said...that was only my opinion......we all do things differently.
  5. Absolutely bang on! Respect!
  6. Thats just how they run hares in their country, got no baring on the dogs quality Of course it has a bearing on the dog's quality. I'm not going to get into a tit-for-tat arguement, but unless you run single handed then no man knows how good, or indeed, how bad his dog is. I've seen plenty over the years that were out and out jackers until they were doubled up. One dog, with no back up, then that's when you know what you've got in your kennel. IMO.

    So Much Win

Dat boy, he cray..... Love his haircut!
  8. To be fair...if it was any good it wouldn't be getting trebled up in summertime......or wintertime.....JMHO.
  9. They're hard to find.....some deer try and eat them believe it or not. Probably the best place to find shed antlers is next to fences the deer have to jump over....
  10. So did I...i meant the antlers..!!! they will be loosing therm in the next 3-6 weeks and growing a bigger set...
  11. I used to always try and not rush things.....Ma Nature knows best. It was uncommon to get eggs before April but I still managed three rounds with little trouble and those chicks were just what I wanted. Fit, Healthy buggers! Mindst you, they got plenty of wild food too, dandelion being a big fave of theirs..... I know you can rush canaries through, but some if the other types of Britsh you aint just going to be able to rush. I soon learnt to go at their pace.....especially the softbills,.. Good luck to all this breeding season....i really miss having an old cock canary hanging about the
  12. it's still early yet guys....no rush.....
  13. yes they are the side quiver has a 3.5 mm gussett stitched allaround the inside and the tube has close on 10mm at the bottom of the tube sewen it i'm not slagging your work off mate...all i'm saying is that when putting broadheads in and out that design is not ideal. It's the side walls that get the hammer. i have owned quite a number of quivers, the arrows need plenty of space to stop the broadheads coming in contact with each other. have a look at a few sites in the USA, you'll see what I mean. The idea is you don't want your broadhead having ANY contact with leather or any

    How Long

no..IMO its a phantom....it seems very early for milk IMO....
  16. Look very nice, but they are not suitable for broadheads I'm afraid. A broadhead will blunt and also cut through the leather. They look ideal for field points and stump shooting points....
  17. The problem with hounds is just that....they're hounds! They ain't your average dog and they don't act like your average dog. Sometimes things happen and it's not always black and white as to the whys and wherefores. All you can do is to try and keep such instances down to a minimum, nothing else.
  18. Went to cinema to watch Skyfall when it came out...very good.
  19. I use them when i break through onto a three way junction.....
