  1. I don't think his height is such a big problem, He's around 6' 3" it's whether he can take a crack on the jaw from a legitimate heavyweight. He's been spannered and dropped at Cruiserweight, so I'm doubtful of his durability up at heavyweight. yep, that will be is big test if he can take a shot from a real heavyweight.?
  2. yep, what x is his dog, looks like bullxkelpie.??
  3. nice pup, you should have some sport with him in a years time.
  4. i ONLY THOUGHT THEY WERE SMALL [30-40lb] just think what [11st] wolf could do.
  5. vet wrap , were i get that from They use it for horses, so just ask the people with horses and they will tell you were to get it. I have used it before, good stuff ask them.?
  6. good point, most butchers+game dealers [dont] want [dog] rabbits Maybe [zoo's ,birds -prey lads]. Regards the dogs, they still done great to get the ton. And for any lurcher to catch [50] rabbits is brill, but lets not forget where they were caught, there is lot to go at . As ive said before [20] runs up there, is alot easy than [10] runs down here , ive done both fact. local up north dead right BIRD there are harder places to catch rabbits, those flat arable land in the midlands is hard work very fast running ground Spot on Tomo, you are right
  7. not really mate just [common sence] and ive said to Tomo on other sites that there [achievement] was Brill. And its great to see great pic's like that , thats what makes a good hunting site. Not sarc-remarks

  9. Ive got Lithium battery, and it is great. Used for lazer light [50wt] and striker [100wt] lamps ,been out about[ 5] hours with both and its a great battery, dead light so you could walk longer if you wanted?
  10. Well done Tomo+crew, if they are they go for it.
  11. Well done Martin, dog doin well with lamp shy rabbits. Have you still got the other [brown] dog.? Ray
  12. Yep ,but you have got get in to is [head], when he miss'es the rabbit the [shout] the fecker+whistle. It [dont] matter about the rabbits, because he as prob put them back to ground anway . You have [got to] get the recall spot on, it dont matter where he is or whats in his mouth he has got come back straight away. Alot of lurchers [when young] can go feckin deaf with the 1st few runs, just stop and do the recall to the beam 1/2 dozen times, then try a rabbit some where else. Forget rabbits get the dog right 1st, rabbits 2nd.
  13. Spot on Martin, you are right Bryn can catch in most places. And by me they are feckin harder than most.???
  14. Went to a few local places by me, and it was bad regards rabbits not many at all. What was there was there was [lamp shy]. As soon as beam it them they were a way like rockets, fast straight in to the edge.Bryn had to get is act together very quickly. And try to keep them from the edge, and put is strike in quick which he did. And Bryn as a [great] strike and catches well, its a good job otherwise i would have gone home with nout. I have always said [any] dog that can catch down here , [will] catch anywere [Fact] . Keep it up Bryn.
  15. true mate, a catcher1 what kind of work do you do.???
  16. yep, good % x fast+guts catch most stuff you put infront of it.
  17. norm 11 30 -12pm, back just before its light. If with permission go early back 12pm
  18. Well if we+you are honest, you want them retrieve. With lamping its a pain in arse, if you have to keep going to pick up , say 1/2 way to where its left the rabbit 20yds. My self as long as it brings just in short say 6ft, from 30-40yds thats ok for me. Lets face it when a dog bring its quarry, its working for you. . When they dont bring back, it just likes the chase+catch for it self. We all aim for a retrieving lurcher, but [they] dont all do it. . All you can do try, but you wont make them bring back if they dont want to Fact .
  19. Nice dogs, like your saluki x
  20. 12 months old, if they are mid-large type dogs, as some dont really get there legs prob till then or older? .If a smaller type lurcher 9-10 months old, plus and if a laid-back temp.

CORRECT! The audience was a heavily biased one, that the BBC no doubt handpicked for the show.
