  1. go for beddyxgrey or 2nd x colliex grey, both these xs have nice temp+ not to big 22-25in 40-60lb.And smaller if you have bitch, good rabbit dogs and other quarry if you want
  2. Seen some ignorant remarks on here but that takes the biscuit, collie crosses deerhound crosses and beddy crosses were doing the buisness long before the (amazing bull shit crosses) This fella for one 3/8 collie 5/8 grey 26in 70lb . Had him in the late ['s] smash foxes for fun, grab them and shake the shit out of them. Once he [knew] how to take them, didnt get marked to much then. Blaze great dog tackle anything
  3. some cracker you got bird how do you rate the red fillter do you keep it on all the time mate Hi mate, yes there are very good if the rabbits are lamp shy, give's you extra yard's, then flick over to main beam.
  4. Bryn 1x colliex grey, 24in 60lb 2 years old, done well last season and this season. Great on rabbits and a few big rabbits in the lamp, i will try him on red coats this season. Bryn
  5. Well done the little dog, and colin lamping+helping for you. Good bag as well, hope he keep's it up. Dont forget always try to finish on a high [success],.?
  6. well done lads Bryn's doing well Thanks Mate, hope he can keep it up. He is very keen at the moment
  7. its jims dog thats 9 year old and he had 38 with him 1 night last week good tuff there bird, jim rang this morning and siad how well bryn ran TOMO thanks TOMO
  8. Hi mate, Bryn is 24in 60lb . He is fast for 1x colliex grey and agile+strong, he would go through a feckin brick-wall to get a rabbit,if he does the same on red coats it would be great.
  9. Went out jim from moochers, had a great night got [47] lost 3 feckin some where Bryn got 24 snipe 23. Snipe is still great dog at 9 years old, and jim top bloke who knows how to get the best out of lamping dog. Bryn was brill with his strike+catching, took some great squatters. He is only [2] so he still can get even better
  10. You right TOMO, i did take mine+ r.n w. took is dog. And show that size it is a feckin pain, all Bryn wanted to do was cock his feckin leg every min up the stalls, or any fecker who was standing there and r.n.w got it once . Maybe a small show , but not the midland with my dog again .
  11. Ive seen a vid of that x working on here, day time rabbiting and it was a good dog.I think it was a 1x, but i still think a 2nd x of any gun dog, would be a better x. As most carry alot of [heavy] bone, and if you are [trying] to catch anything that its 30-40mph, you need that speed of a 3/4 grey with this type of x. Ive got +had colliexs = 1x and 3/8 they are fast+agile , but alot differnt bone structure to gundog x, thats why you need 3/4 grey x lab.
  12. a 3/4 greyx lab, would make great lurcher. Some working labs are racey, good nose, stamina, strong, coat, brain. Ive always thought would make better x than a collie, but i think you need as said a 2nd x. A dog with natural retrieve, with 3/4 grey plenty of [speed+guts] to tackle any quarry. plus alot of labs make good guard dogs.and lot calm'er temp than a collie x I really [dont] know why the aint [popular]
  13. well rapskee what ever will the enemy say when they find out your admitting i know what im doing, seems the fact that we have been working dogs together for 15 years has finally sunk into ya head keep up this chain of thought and we might let ya come for a mooch with us lol, and it wouldnt feel right to take ya money of ya son it would be a bit of a hare and tortoise race pwaaaaaaaaa does this mean ya back in the fold oh and to all that keep saying glad to see ya back on it, ive never been off it!!!!!!! i was taking the piss due to comments from a mister micheal knight the pratt!!! cheers for
  14. Get some from strong stuff, purpose made for the job and cheap as chips. He will do you a very nice girly pink if you require Got 2 and they are spot on, regards collar [never] had a prob with them when lamping in 25 years. I NEVER have collar that tight on a dog, always have [plenty] of room to slip+release anyway.
  15. A good win, hope they can keep it up. COME ON WOLVES
  16. This is the prob with the time of the year, it is still feckin warm. Any lurcher running at 30mph run after run, even just 1/2 dozen runs will blow up. I know its nice to get few daft rabbits or red coats [that aint] seen a lamp, but alot of lurchers any x more so dogs with thick coats will get fecked quicker this time of the year.Plus some of the ground is still feckin hard ??
  17. I will be there sunday with my mates and my collie xgrey, hope to have chat with a few from here, will be by the terrier ring abouyt 1 pm

  20. Its ok, but he aint on his own is he ,plus they aint going to let him get attacked by any feckin bears are they .
  21. I had that with a beddyxwhippetxgrey years ago, the vet called it [Hard pad]. I never got its feet right, it had prob with running, its feet kept bleeding i had to put it down in the end Hope your pup not got [Hard pad] get it down to the vet now.?
  22. bang on trev thats why my bitches are tried and tested true, you have to start with the[ best] base line [running dog, grey, sal, whip] you can get.
  23. Spot on that, and that how you want them[confident]
  24. The numbers have dropped [big time] around here [south staffs] with feckin mixy or shot to feckin death. The last [couple of years] they have never recoverd to what there were.?
