With all dogs some [like] to retrieve and some [dont] fact, and you carnt make them . Take all dogs as differnt, and you wont go wrong

    lurchers can do your feckin head in , colliexs can be twats. But as you say if the dog does the buiness in the field, that the main thing. I KNOW IT FECKIN HARD, but mate you have got switch [off] when the dog plays up, because if you dont its no good for both of you. You can nice dog, temp and nice to be around, but [really] its what they do have to be good worker 1st, pet 2nd. And if it is a good worker [chill out.]

    Just to add....this fella is a law abiding citizen and not a violent man in any way. He even went to the extreme of showing the police the body which as you can imagine was not a pretty sight. They are basically questioning....a, why he didnt take the dog to a vet to be pts !!!....his answer was why when he could do it himself for free. and b ,was blowing the dogs head off a viscious reaction of rage at being bitten !!!....his answer was he spent 2 days coming to a decision...rage doesnt last 2 days. He is currently seeking legal advice anyway

    Fair play you had go, for the best result's try took keep the beam on as least as pos. If you pick a squatter ok use the beam, but if you looking for rabbits [quick on-off] . Thats what i do, not saying its the best, but its worked for me the last 25 years. Keep it up mate. Ray

    Took my dog for his booster+MOT today. Was talking to the vet about parvo, if dogs have had it can leave them with a week heart. I WOULD rather pay 25£quid per year, than see a pup+dog suffer with this feckin thing. Some say after 2 years, you dont need boosters. Well if you done it just for [7] years, it should be immune to it by then, its still only 175£quid which is feck all over [7] years.

    Well my vet i think fair,[ booster,3 drontal plus, and full MOT,]on him 40£quid. He does all greyhounds at [ WRT MG] and he is spot on, he knows about lurchers and how hard they have to work in the field.

    Spot on, some do and so dont. I had colliex [3/8 collie 5/8 grey dog] 26in 70lb, he is on here [old pics post] .He smash them no prob, he was 20 months old when he started. The 1st few he got pecked, and didnt like it. But after that every one he caught he shook the shit out of them, and he loved them more than rabbits.? Ive got another colliex grey [1x], and this one as a differnt temp ,so i dont know.?? He is 24in 59lb, big enough+strong but you never know. .?? And with colliexs they do think about thing's , to much at times. Where most bullxs just do it,and that the differnce. If you can
