  3. RESULT Nice one Malt Now for the bad News. Having lost a ferret my self some months back, i speak from some experience, when i say that your life will never be the same again. You will not sleep until you have tripple checked that all the cage doors are double locked, that the court is 'SECURE', that the shed door has two padlocks and a lump of concrete wedged against the door. That the kids are allowed to touch unless supervised, just in case! So i am so pleased for you that you know have your full compliment, but have feers for you sanity now.. I'm off for more OCD counciling
  4. Depends on you FEO, the safety of the area you are shooting, and the calibre of the rifle you are applying for. I take it you have permission from a landowner to shoot? If so, put this land down on a certificate aplication. What are you applying for? Matt
  5. Just back from lamping charlie tonight. Not my permission, but a request from a freind for help. Lucky for Charlie, i didn't get in range of him. However, i must of lamped between 40-50 deer on his permission. He doesn't have an FAC so has never chased the roe or asked the landowner for permission.(Apparently someone else 'CULLS' them) It is a gold mine!!! I cant ask for permission, we have a verbal agreement with each other's permission, and i'm true to my word. It was some consolation I got an hour out with my .22, so virtually filled the freezer with rabbits and a hare These me
  6. Its a shame we dont have a biggest cat competition. I'm sure i could win that. Murphy, see below, was the meanest, baddest, sweetest most affectionate cat ever. Unfortunately deceased at 16 years old, this year. Weighed 2 stone, and was bigger than our fat west Highland terrier.. Could kill for a living, took no shit from no-one. Loved me and the misses to bits. Strong as f***
  7. Looking good, loads of room for them eh? Matt
  8. This is my fav ferret. He weighs 3lb 7 oz in summer condition Called 'Bubble' Not an ounce of fat on him. Solid muscle Plays in house every night, with the wife. Does not get on with other ferrets, prefers to chase the dogs round the lounge.
  9. Make you own chopped tomatoes for sauces and freeze it, yummy. Tomato soups pretty good. Normal tomato chutney?
  10. Hello, not sure what you mean when you say you cant find anywhere to hunt. Have you tried every landowner in a 20 mile radius? Unfortunately unless you or close friends own land, this is what you and every other hunter in your area will be doing. Permissions are hard won and easy lost. They easiest way to find somewhere to hunt is adopt a respectfull attitude and knock on doors. No easy answer i'm afraid. What are you hunting/shooting with? Matt
  11. Matt are you sure you aint a health and safety officer?Only time i hear risk assesment is from one of them Never had them jabbed and prob never will unless ov course they start gettin bird flu or that lol gamekeeper turned poacher LOL you know the score Matt

  14. Leupold manufacture quick release as well. I have them, they are ok..
  15. Yeah, i put a post up a while back. The rabbit is faily lean, so rubbing with olive oil helps. My own recipe is to coat and marinade with honey and mustard or balsamic vinigar. Obviously a little salt and pepper. If cooked very hot, it can be eat without being chewy. My kids are fussy about tough meat, but will always eat bbq rabbit. i have never tried bbq hare. Always casseroled it.
  16. Given that it is a large package, you could arrange local pick up only. or buyer to arrange collection. The downside to this, is you narrow your selling opportunities. If it is very large, the post office wont take it, you are then dealing with courriers etc. If you can weigh it, on bathroom scales maybe, they will give you a price per KG etc. TNT, Parcel Force, ANC loads on internet or yellow pages. You will have to box it up securely yourself. If you want to sell without the hastle, state clearly that postage will be charged at cost, depending on the buyers requirements. and you will let
