    Is that it Jigsaw about the L4 vaccine? Mine get jabbed as pups as per the vets reccomendations and then never get booster vaccines after that. I've not had any trouble and know blokes who've done the same for 40 years without any issues.

    Busher, don't get to hung up on size, its speed you are after and anything thats well bred for speed will have a high catch rate, every bitch (runner) I've ever owned has been fast, this bitch now is quick but with stamina to burn and with lurchers its not an exact science,the more thats in the mix then they can go to any breed in there, my mate from Crew put two 19" whippets together, I took a dog pup for my mate at 7weeks,they all looked level and the one I got my mate turned out 29"TTS,the rest of the litter were 19-20inch, most decent lurchers that get out bushing regular will soon anticip

    I think an even bigger fool would think they can improve a pure breed thats been hunting/coursing for over 6,000 years but hey ho crack on with your dreams.     I know it's not possible for everyone but I've found moving the hutch into the garage has helped. I've hung a couple of them fly strips just by the hutch and they have worked a treat. Can feed meat like its winter and only the odd fly makes it into the garage and ends up on the fly strip.

    These Salukis and their crosses don't suit everyone. I don't think that's necessarily a reflection on you or implying that your are a bad dog man. Like you said you've had success with other types. They just don't suit. They don't suit me either. I can't get along with them. But maybe one day I will try again as I really do like the look of them and what they bring to the table. It's not fair for the likes of me and you to slate the breed because we can't handle them or can't get into their heads like other lads can. We can just admire from distance.     All you lads out with your youngsters are making me green with envy. Haha. We've had a couple of nice dark windy nights of late. Great for bringing the pups on with a few summer rabbits. I will be at them in 4-6 weeks myself and can't wait.

    Breeze I might have a bash at a long net but it won't be yet. Lol. Chicken man - I watched 4 different videos and came up with my own method combining the different methods. There is a very good video about 40 mins long by a Geordie bloke. I used his method of knot and I used an Irish guys method of tying the last ring on. I'm using 2" mesh board. I've settled on the following pattern... 8, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 17 17,17,16,15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,8 That gives a 4' net.
