  6. You're squeamish and won't touch a dead rabbit so your post on a hunting forum doesn't hold much weight. LolHey you've got me there. Don't wanna touch a dead rabbit, don't wanna touch a tumoured brain either. Am a total cissy. Still, grew up rural, and own a bit of my homeland (thanks to my husb's tireless graft). Buy my meat from local butchers / game dealers whether here or back home. Am just as entitled as you or anyone on here to have an opinion on hunting. Really didn't want to fall out with you because I've loved your archived posts on training your dogs and loved your rabbit pie reci
  7. I've uploaded these pics for ginger beard... I must say that broken coated dog at the top is a belter. Spitting image of the sire to my brindle bitch. He was deer/grey X collie/grey. How are these bred mate?

  9. I could be wrong about the ticks mate. Just seemed funny how there were 2 right near it. But it could well be a puncture wound got infected like you say.
  10. You be careful, you will get fat and we know you don't like fat people ?
  11. Haha I'm glad you agree mucka. I love a spot of cooking just wish I had more time for it. I will do a few nice venison and hare dishes come winter. Always enjoy your cooking threads ?
  12. Tilly - I will give green lurcher a run for his money with some game dishes this winter. But I agree his grub does look good. Slip lead - that was a light snack mate. Finished one off for my missus cuz she couldn't manage the 2. Haha
  13. Ah man you gotta be kidding. Stilton made it.
  14. It' does sound the same as my bitch but hard to tell from pics. Funny how it's same place and same time of year. The swelling has gone down on my bitch now but you can still see the lump. This is after a week of antibiotics. 250mg amoxicillin twice a day. Purple is just purple spray...
  15. Yeh fair point lads. I was pretty hungry by time the 10 hours passed ? The one - it was Stilton buddy. The only cheese to go with steak haha.
  16. Fancied a sandwich today. Had some nice steaks in so thought I would see what I could do. Trimmed the steaks, chopped up a red onion and sliced some peppers, then knocked up a bit of a marinade with some beef stock, peri-peri seasoning, a glug of real ale, plenty of natural honey and a teaspoon of mustard and loads of garlic. Left this for 10 hours in the fridge... Then I chucked it all in the wok. When the steak was cooked I removed the steak and the juices and kept stir frying the onion and peppers... Warmed a couple of paninis under the grill and then added the onion,
  17. It's a tough one mate. Not my cup of tea that, ringing police to tell them what im up to. But then as you know good permission is hard to come by and you've gotta keep landowners sweet if you want to keep it. My worry would be telling police I'm lamping with dogs, nosey b*****ds will probably come to see what exactly you're up to. I would be more inclined to tell them the location and say you will be taking an air rifle, even take an air rifle with you in the boot? Stops them being too inquisitive, you've kept your agreement with land owner and you've not really told any lies, yo
  18. Looks exactly the same as one I've had on my red bitch this week but hers was a bit bigger. Is it painful to touch? My red bitch screamed like a banshee if I touched hers. I believe it's off a tick in my case. She had 2, which I pulled and got the head. But I'm thinking there may have been a third which she scratched off herself and left the head in? Mine has been on antibiotics for a week and it's clearing up now.
  19. Handsome chap isn't he....unfortunately our knowledge is limited on it, my wife seems to think, her dad rescued him as a pup, many years ago, she remembers her dad talking about him, saying he had a good temperament and a nice nature, i think, in other countries (it could be Germany/Hungary) they tried a breeding program between wolves with dogs, but i don't know if it was that successful or not, i wouldn't mind seeing one in the flesh tho, it would be interesting... I would like to see one too. Yeh he's a handsome dog for sure. Would be some deterrent.
  20. None of my friends are gay. They touch my bum but that doesn't make them gay they said.
  21. Same here I've always been firm with them from pups. They eat what they are given. Always loads of variety so they eat anything when older and if they don't eat it then they don't get something else. Both of my lurchers eat anything and will eat as much as I give them. Great when working them hard in winter, can keep them looking good. 2lb of fatty meat in a morning and 3lb of chicken and tripe after lamping. Keeps the weight on them. But I reckon I could of been lucky with it. Don't wanna tempt fate and my next one be a fussy bugger. Lol. To the OP - get a photo up. He sounds ab
  22. Probably a load of shite but I've certainly made a mental note of them last 3 on the list... https://www.(!64.56:886/anonews.co/videos/1201399899871567/
  23. Looks some size of dog. Thanks for sharing. How did the cross come about? Accidental or planned?
