Where did that saying come from "The n***** In The Woodpile"? The "nigger in the woodpile" phrase originated in the American deep south in the mid-19th century and was used to describe fugitive slaves who hid in piles of firewood as they fled north to Canada. It was used in 20th century Britain as a metaphor to describe a hidden fact or problem.

Your in the minority pal. Most are "she's" a beauty. "She" handles well. "She" has a stunning grain. Mind. I can see why it's not advantageous to call it a he!! "He" has beautiful wood! I've had a few problems with that type of set up. Some of the larger rats are managing to reach the bait without stepping onto the trigger plate. They seem to eat what they can reach and not venture onto the plate to get their noses into the cup to finish the bait off. Not every time. But now and again I'd get the same problem. In the end I used a plastic tool box, cut holes either side near to the top and put two Mk. IV springers inside covered with straw from a chicken coop and hung a bird feeder fat ball inside right in the middle. If you're struggling with the bait box set up as you said

Aye. Finding an unmolested example which has been tuned by the best gunsmith in the uk ( or so your told! ), can be taxing. Apologies but I'm not getting into the scope debate. I'm not a fan of hawke scopes but they seem to work for most and that will be a common suggestion. I've not had much to do with the R10 but a lot do rate them and hopefully you will get an unbiased review.
