Nothing wrong with those cheap little torches. I have a couple of the 501b's. Spot on for air rifle range and not over bright.
Fit nicely in a 25 mm mount.
And at a few quid a piece if they go tits up you can wang em in the bin.
I've one here that's been on top of the rifle for a good 5 year and still going strong.
Get on alibaba and check out the £30 t30's. Pittance a piece. Yes you've to buy a boat load. Sell them in dribs and drabs to claw your money back but it's all the same old cheap tat made in China.
(Not knocking the t30's though)
A good torch Mac old boy is going to se
Are you not the 'old man', of the 'squad', anyway,.....ha ha ha (nowt wrong wi that !, mind) ?,......or would it be , Moxy ?,...lol
Not me pal. I'm just an impressionable youngster drawn in by the lure of lager adverts!
You got to have a sense of humour.
Just think of a forum full of miserable mawdy men not earning any money because they don't know what to charge and are getting undercut at every corner by Internet educated imposters
Speaking of Matt. How are these super duper tunnel traps coming along? Apologies if that's someone else's baby but I recall reading he had his finger in that pie?
This sounds simple enough I have 10mm mash and wire to hold it together and she could make herself thanks for that.

My rapid is dipped mate. I got it like that and I often wonder if the metalwork is in poor order under it.
A reblue would be my choice but send it to someone who knows what they are doing and get the job done right.
Provided you did a pukka job of putting it on. No creases and no gaps the it should be fine. I would give it a good wipe over with 0000 wire wool and thinners to ensure you have a good clean bonding surface for the tape.
In all honesty it will look shite but importantly serve the purpose of protecting your metal work from further abuse!
Does he have a website other than Facebook mate ? .......
Not that I can find pal.
His numbers on this link

Does he have a website other than Facebook mate ? .......Type collinsnets in to google it's the same bloke socks
You sure? Colin's traps are Peterborough and colins nets are Bridport?
It's on the trailer mate but yes. The little 2wd doesn't like pulling it for too long. Particularly with the spikes down.
The 4wd bike will chug away all day long.
The wife donates blood as she's a rare blood group. Never give it much thought myself about giving blood.
It's mad how far blood travels. My mates mum is in hospital undergoing treatment for cancer but her immune system rejected the treatment and ended up in a bad way. The hospital shipped in blood from 4 different parts of the country. 1 lot from as far as 90 miles away.
Good on you Arch.
All metals will weaken over time. Corrode, stretch and in particular loose their spring.
As I said earlier. Traps were tested to destruction and I believe the measurements in the finished triggers are about the limit.
That takes into account the extra stretch needed to open and set the larger triggers.
But!! As no one has tested these for a great amount of time and on a regular basis yet! A conclusion can't be drawn as to the longevity of the trap springs.
However at a quid fifty a trap the likelihood is that traps paid for itself and some! On its first outing. With the few humble catc
Nicepix. We never even looked for off the shelf alternatives.
The triggers I have posted about are specific for the putange. Measured tolerances and laser cut.
I agree they are nothing new. The concept of variations in triggers has probably been played with over the years.
The idea was given to us by someone who had already done it. Albeit for a similar trap to the putange.
The man who can merely copied and adapted.
