Grand pics and grand bit of ratting there Moll, but really who'd want to be a rat?. .
-
I once went into one myself when out ferreting alone,in up to my waste then i tried to get out, sank up to my chest and was sh*tting it.I just managed to reach a tussock of rush and slowly pull myself out, close call you had there and lucky you could have reached the dog as i myself wouldn't ever go in one after a dog as i know how quickly they can pull you down.

A lot of folks will have their birds in the moult or just starting it and they won't be keen on parting with any until it's over, many birds fall foul during the moult so as a person wanting new birds it's worth waiting a few weeks imo.I'll have a few greenie and goldie mules to go but again that won't be until after they've moulted out and the cocks have started singing.

Got a wooden triple you can have for 25 quid, inside all repainted and ready to go,due to it's size though it needs collecting.
-
Well done,do like that cinny coloured on and good luck on it being a cock.

I wouldn't keep any dogs if rabbits weren't on the list and there's more of most things other than rabbits around me,i personaly couldn't give a gnats shit what others think of me and my dogs as there here for me and don't have to prove feck all to anyone else. Most folks can point and aim a dog towards something in a beam,a well trained rabbiting dog(not a dog that just goes rabbiting)needs that bit more from it's owner.

Georgia you know yourself deep down not all dogs are like that one and you've handled reved up on a kill dogs and have been fine,so try to think about the good times you've had with dogs and your brain will come round in the end. It's just a self defence thing it's done to itself and you will be able to convince yourself of the truth that not all dogs are bad, have a rumage through your old photo's of you and the dogs together and i'm sure it'll help settle you.Get well soon .

Well it seems a lot of folks on here spout as much sh*te as the anti's who have never seen hounds hunt ,if you haven't been there then you know feck all end of and really have no room to comment on what you know nothing about.I'll also add some of the smack heads and herion addicts(there is a difference)i've known in my time have been more honest,up front and reliable than some of the spineless backstabbing pricks i've met in the dog game and thats a fact.

Ffs who's going to cook our dinners if they all got into hunting .

It don't just take 5 minutes to give up drugs lab and it does take support from those close to you to be able to see there's light at the end of the tunnel and saying that god help any one if they ever need any help off some of you on here because they've fecked up .Also with most junkies you know where you stand with them where as with a few of the folk i've met in the dog game they've no excuses for being the w*nkers they are.

How old is it,is it still downy and should ne in the nest still or do you think it had fledged(left the nest on it own account)already?,you need a lot of luck either way to be honest but it will need feeding either way and it really depends on the chick it's self to reach out for the chopped worms, tinned dog food, soaked dry dog food(really soaked and stoggy)and other crushed up bugs you could offer it on the end of a little flat and thin feeding stick.Like i say you need some luck and have a look on the cage bird bit on here for the links to the bird forums and you will get beeter advice from

Got in from work went straight into the aviery to see if this little one had fledged, well it was sat in some conifer and as i put my finger near it to make it move so i could check it over as such it hopped straight on with not a worry in the world.I have breeding records, both rung parents and it won't ever be sold so i didn't need to ring it,also it's a mutation so could never have been a wild bird so feck off arsepca . it's got a colour to it due to it's mum feeding it the colour laced egg food thats out for my red factor canaries.

Looks small and strong and looks like it's got a good head on it mate,so why the concrete block tied on the lead as surely it wasn't that bad it needed drowning .

Probebly not mate, these old boys don't go far out of their home patch and the old fella who's it is has to sit sidewards on a old cushion when he drives it because he needs a new hip and at about 10 mph it'd take him a while to have got it there .

The green tractor which is a 1947 single cylinder Field Marshal and drives the lot by a large belt, the first pic is of the bailer, this is seperate from the thresher itself and it only loosely packs the straw into bails that go for thatching, the red machine the thresher itself threshes the corn and seperates the corn from the stalk and seperates the chaff from the grain also.It can also grade the grain into differet sizes when used for different grains, the thresher used to do the jobs the modern combine does apart from the cutting. The farmer has to thresh his corn this way as like i say it goes

serious old school!Good to see my girl still in thick of it.Had to pass her mum on,in fact all my dogs on due to splitting with wife,so dog less mate.Other than borrowing my retired dogs that live with my mum yesterday to do some ratting. She's a bit quiet today if the truth be told(well they all are ) but she was at the front end of it all yesterday and she got there first on most occasions and didn't flag even though it was hot as a couple of the other terriers were picking their shots by the end of it.As said before mate well happy with her and what she can do for me and she's here if

Got a phone call late last night after the old suffolk farmer had seen the red sunset and was sure it was a sunny day today to tell us he was threshing the bottom of a stack he had left over from a few weeks ago.We got there at 9ish for a earlyish start and once the old boys had had there natters and put the world right suffolk stylie we got going about 11 ish ,well after taking over with the pitch forks as the other 2 fellas were fecking useless we soon got most of the stack moved and then the fun started. At first as allways with threshing the rats come out in ones and twos and as we get clo

As said before sprinkled on egg food mix.

Big enough to do the job asked but not to big and small enough to get there but not to small,or somewhere in between the two but if it's big and it works or it's small and it works then thats about the right size.

HUNTING with dogs is ILEGAL...FLUSHING with dogs to gun is LEGAL... Big difference between the two. Cheers. Thats wrong, you are allowed to hunt for a scent trail and once the animal your hunting for knows it's being hunted thats when it becomes the grey "it's banned" area as likes been said flushing to gun or hawk is legal. The whole ban bit was down to animal stress when being hunted and how can any animal suffer stress if it doesn't know it's being hunted?,it can't and thats why it ain't illigal to hunt up or search for a scent trail. One thing i'd like to know is how are these animal
