  1. I use red factors to breed my mules with and i colour feed all the time,i just spinkle it on there egg food, condition seed mix but some chicks seem to colour up more than others from the same nest.I tried using it in their water but what a mess and to be honest it didn't work any better so i just stick with the sprinkling now and red water does look odd anyway .
  2. Leave the unhatched egg in there mate as it will help support the other chicks, was told to this myself and i watched a chick do that very thing when reaching for feed.Good luck with them getting on the sticks..
  3. 2 of these greenie mules have been feeding each other and there only this years bird so i think i might pair them off for the winter and see if i can use them as rearers for next year if they nest up.Just to do something different really and thanks bulldoug and if folk don't ask then they won't know eh .
  4. The bull used(although she wasn't the first choice of bitch plummer wanted to use,but not knocking the bitch used (have to be carefull on these plummer threads) )did have farmer boys and scotsman kennel prefix's in her ped, nowi think thats right but not a bull fan so could have the names slightly wrong, but you know who i mean.
  5. A bit of land doesn't have to be a shoot for you to be able to use terriers to control foxes on and the law doesn't say how big or small that bit of land has to be and niether does it state they have to be reared birds. All it says is for the protection of game birds and it doesn't even state the land has to have a dwelling population of game birds just for the protection of,read it how you will but i see it as everywhere where i have permission i have a duty to protect the wild birds that do or could live there .This topic just shows how fecked up the law is as letting a fox go after being du
  6. still think ill gee it a miss, if only everybody would, then he would have no reason to keep breeding, does sound as tho the man is breeding solely for money these days, that pic of a pup suckling off its dam, while its for sale is disgusting imo Agree 100% and that old man should be ashamed of himself and to think thats the actions of one of the greats of the modern era of terriers  .
  7. Have you tried on one of the british bird forums mate,if not i can ask on a couple for you if you want?.
  8. Did hear she wasn't signing them for a while, thanks and have a good do .
  9. Can we bring a fishing rod seeing as the baliff will be busy? ,no dogs under 3 1/2 years old!,why is that Toka and only asking so don't worry, lol .
  10. It was a trio of really small chooks Moll thats all i know about them themselves (forgot the name he said) but they are very happy indeed with them .
  11. If they moan over a well priced tenner then there'll moan about having to spend money on them if they get ill,or any of those extra things the birds need at times.Wouldn't sell them muck out the bottom of the cage if i were you to be honest Moll and from what a good mate says about your stock(the little chooks he's just got)i'm sure those birds are in first class order and well worth the tenner you asked and by the way i payed nigh on twenty pounds each for my own red factor hens.
  12. I've had my 2 inside living with the family since they were pups and apart from the odd kids shoe being chewed when they were pups i've had no problems with them wrecking the place,as long as they have an outlet for there drive or what ever you call it(same as any dog though)there should be no more than normal problems with them living inside.Nice pair of terriers mate and best of luck for the coming season.
  13. more pics of the plummer Pup. who gives a sh*t gravel?.
  14. Well done Moll, they all look a picture of health and that hen does sound like a clever girl,a slapper as well but still clever all the same
  15. If it was still in a nest then yes but on the floor you did no harm.
  16. Pm sent mate, but for others a mule is a canary x finch,a hybrid is a finch x finch. The way round you use the canary either cock or hen is personal choice but any bullfinch mule will be bully hen canary cock as the bully cock can't breed with anything else but a bully hen, same with bully hybrids, bully hen used.Mules are bred as a canary will sing most of the time and a finch doesn't,so you have a product caperble of singing finch all the time and all you have to do is let them hear only finch song.
  17. Thats some fecking outcross that, geordie x cornish
  18. Many thanks and i hope the goldies don't change to much as i like that motled look to be honest.
  19. :notworthy: cracking and a credit to your dedication.
  20. There still time yet mate,my greenies have only just nest built and my goldies haven't nest built yet but there is still time, isn't hope a grand word? .Good luck mate and keep at it as when it happens it's grand for sure .
  21. While i'm on photobucket some pics of some of this years mules my birds have bred, greenie mules. goldie and clear greenie mules this young one is the same age as the red goldie mules but wasn't feather pecked by it mother, the red ones seem to have moulted straight into adult plumage??? couple more greenie mules
  22. Hope you don't mind but how am i dong on the colour feeding on my clear greenie mule? and please tell me if i'm messing it up big time,i'm feeding all my colour fed birds the same as allways but the goldie mules she is in with have gone very red but these two birds were stripped of 90% of the feathers by the hen bird before they left the nest so they have sort of missed the young plumage and moulted into near as dam it there adult plumage. So i'm wondering if i'm colour feeding to much????.
  23. Good luck mate on them being full un's .
