    Plenty of rifle shooting mate but not much shotgun action at all . Hopefully some pigeon shooting this summer .

    I’ve been getting a few calls off landowners to thin the roe out by at least 50% as numbers have built up silly .Part my fault ,part the fact there’s nowhere local to take roe in numbers .The odd pub ,the odd private sale but nothing to drive me to cull any numbers . One of the pubs I sell to rang wanting 3 roe .Rang a landowner and arrived there at just after 9 am .No need to get up early here as they ain’t going anywhere .Saw the landowner in her yard and had a natter .She said there were probably a few by the quarry a couple of fields away .Got the gear together and headed into the win

    Going to miss the beaters days this year as fecking work has meant I havnt put a shift in on any shoots .First year I can remember when I’m not shooting a beaters day or two .Excellent write up SL .Your looking in tip top form mate ??. You shooting with Whaler this year ?

    Saw one this morning daylight Mark when out stalking .Bagged two roe in second field ?.Doe and doe follower .Got few orders in to fill which is nice .

    I don’t get the divide at all .One follows another ,follows another for me and we all have the basic need to hunt .That is what they seek to destroy ,the hunter gatherer who gets pleasure from doing so .

    Why do feel the need to wish it on anyone else mate .I know loads of shooting men went to the marches in London ,fat lot of good that did anyone though .

    This shooter will defend your sport til the end mate as well as all other country sports .I’ve done nearly all of them and fond memories of it all .

    Proper mate .Thanks for posting that .I just knew there was a story in ya somewhere .I missed out on the self discovery really as I had a mentor .An old boy named Norman Dunn who was very meticulous in his digging ,slow to the point of being annoying but I learnt patience .

    I think for some it’s just a fleeting pastime that comes to end mate .I’d say maybe that type has nothing to lose by posting things best kept to themselves . Nothing wrong with legit discussion ,pics and vids but we know there's another side to it.
