  1. Nice one mate and good read too .How about the other seat ,is that up too?.
  2. Try a lanber sporter multichoke before spending a lot of money mate .Upper cheap range if you know what i mean .
  3. I had a phone call on first renewal asking if i wanted it open! .
  4. Agreed mate gimicky but good crowd pleaser .Good pics though .
  5. Superb mate .Chap i know has one in hunt service ,ring any bells ?.
  6. We all appreciate your honesty mate .Ive done it ,so have most that shoot regularly .The thing is not to dwell on it too much as confidence in the set up is 50% of a good shot .Well done on your first buck and may there be many more .
  7. Never say never JD as there is another around though not so pronounced .He will make half of that before hes shot but im not the only one on the ground !.
  8. The price it fetched was indeed 4 figures and to a German collector .Not mine any more so im not at liberty to say exactly where and how much but good ridance i say ,revolting .
  9. I'm only a young hunter but i would definitely not be shooting at it with a shotgun as it might not kill it and you would be breaking the law if you let it get away badly injured. I would recomend purchasing a fox trap(box trap) and capture the fox in it. Bait it up with a bit of meat or something. Once you have caught it in the trap, put a thick leather glove on and grab it then break it's neck. It may take you a good few days or weeks to catch it. Regards, Alex You may be a young hunter mate but with ideas like that you wont reach an old one .Shotgun perfectly ok in the right han
  10. For those that remember ,this is the buck i shot a couple of seasons ago .A full perruque with no testicles .Grotesque isnt it !I sold it to a chap that had it set up but its since been sold again .No regrets on my part as its not my thing to see on the wall Just thought i'd put it on for the curio factor ! Incidentally ,it weighed 72 lb clean with head on and the head alone weighed 24 kilos boiled out ,thats 61/2 lb i think .Massive .
  11. I guess you will be back looking for the cubs that number 1 has ,eh lads .
  12. Some lazy lamper will have that im sure
  13. All the dest with that dog mate but dont overdo it at a young age .
  14. Short term prognoses is good but the long term will mean a shortened working life and joint trouble before he gets old .I admire you for sticking with him but some wouldnt .
  15. More than one fox has met an end using this method of location mate .Very distictive mobbing of a fox at night .
  16. I understand that traps need protection from the elements to ensure a long working life but surely its the trap site that needs hiding rather than the trap itself to protect from stealing .
  17. Like i said ,be interesting to know if it holds with pastic used anywhere !.
  18. spot on All im saying is, unless yer getting asked to deal with a rogue, then lets have a bit of fair play, and keep shtum. Theres people on this site wanting to squeek foxes on the lamp, and leave cubs to starve, cos they dont know no better. yer all gonna call me a f**king anti, but thats the way i was taught, so f**k yez. Agree totally but digging in spring either gets the vic and cubs or just the cubs in which case the killing usually stops as the vic has nothing to feed but herself .
  19. They were in a pile of tyres mate ,dog found them .
  20. Be interesting to hear if the plastic pipe held at all !.
  21. What gets me and makes me smile is self appointed experts telling people what they should or shouldnt be doing on their ground .Grow up you sad gits ,get a life ,do your own thing and if you dont like a post then dont read the replies .Simple . Fox control is not something that is seasonal .You cannot pretend to control an animal in the winter then protect it to rear cubs in the summer .The arguement dosnt fit and is what fecked up the hunts really .You are playing at it if you think any different .A sport digger ,nothing wrong with that so long as you dont try to fool yourself or anyone els
