  2. Before this gets closed as im sure it will heres the answer to the original question .For those that need to know the signs of what to look for here ,they are - Badgers will draw fresh earth from a sette all year round in their continuous habit of enlargement whereas the fox will ONLY dig to create a cubbing den in early spring .The sight of a large ,fresh spoil heap in winter is a sure sign of badger . Bedding may be in or near the mouth of a sette as well as a clear drag line to and from the sette .Foxes use no bedding whatsoever . A clear ,very well trodden path ,TO ,FROM AND ACROSS the

  5. Well done on that mate .Hopefully you will have a few more now . Edited to add that there appears to be a distinct diference between heads up there and down here in that we dont produce such tall narrow heads ,tending to be wider and with heavy brow tines .Just an observation from a few posts recently and in the past .

  17. My own observation is that they do not have territories as such but the right to mate with a particular doe is defended by a following buck .They are the deer most dependent on cover ,the denser the better and this is what is sometimes deemed as territory when in fact ,if cover stretches for miles then a munty will travel the length of it in search of a mate ,unchalleged by others.
  18. Might just be the light but wheres the chocolate pat mate ?
  19. A chap i know makes loads .He has a years supply in hand all the time ,thats to say he cuts when he sees it but lets it cure for a year then debarks it .A little trick i know he does is to' train'stuff to grow a particular way ie wrap a hazel swtch around a broom handle to create a curler but this is serious ,years ahead stuff .To create a bowl end then split a growing switch and pack it with clay and bind .The growing tip swells im told .
