    Well then, theres a story to this buck that stretches back 3 years or more .Hes been on a place i have ,a smallholding that is on the way to a larger area of stalking .I took the dogs out over the small place for a stretch this afternoon and chanced on him grazing on a valley side opposite that i dont have but still good to see him .Hes had the same head for at least 3 years and ive always seen him either out of season or without a gun .Hes finally showing his age as was apparent from the saggy back and grey muzzle .I studied him for a long time with the bins whilst the dogs lay around me p

    As stated ,we have full written permission on this estate to control foxes with terriers for the PREVENTION OF PREDATION ON GAMEBIRDS .The fact that this one also liked the taste of lamb was her undoing as she would have probably gone unnoticed where she was .I know there are laws but i also know i am a hunter foremost ,a do'er not a talker and landowners wishes come before some fat politicians.     Working on a site at the moment and chanced to step outside the hording that is supposed to keep us hairy assed builders in .Found these leverets in a group which is very unusual as they are usually scattered about ,the hares infant defence system .I would put them at a week old ,no more .No sign of mother but then again ,wouldnt expect it .I believe they are only fed at night and are one of the fastest growing mammals in our land .The milk is said to be very concentrated? Sorry in advance for quality as its off the phone .

    Used to do hell of a lot with the ferrets .No longer keep them due to other committments .Keep it up mate or the art will die out .

    At £60 each thats £180 killed and half eaten.The shephard lost 12 in all so thats £720 to a single vixen.Multiply that all over the country and thats hell of a loss which only serves to put the price of food up .Thanks for the good replies people .

    Im not concerned with antis or bunny huggers or fellow sportsmen that dont like it .I tell it as it is and show the pics for what they are .Antis dont like us doing feck all so how can ANYTHING be too bad to show .The death of a rat is a sin to them so i tend to dismiss such idiots without a thought .Keep it real and you wont go far wrong .

    People seem to forget that its the paying gun that has brought the deer to its status today ,that of value and not vermin as most landowners see them .Think on .

    We had a call yesterday from the shephard on our local estate that hes lost several lambs.The keeper has been out with lamp and night vision but not seen a thing so its down to us to get her in the ground .We walked miles in search of an earth that showed signs of cubs but as you would expect on a well keepered estate ,they werent about .One last chance this morning of a look along a fir shelter belt on a far boundary produced the goods .I noticed a place kicked out a bit more than the usual rabbit holes and knelt down to inspect it .The back end of a lamb was on view and i drew it out to fin
