  8. I went to see the kill with Martin but he was physically shaking and wanted to hold my hand so we came away smartish .The ground is unfortunately very dry so no prints .My money would be on a natural death from gangrene from that black back leg or secondary infection at least and the carcass has been eaten by foxes ,badgers .The amount of cleared ground says to me the beast thrashed about a bit before dying but then again ,who wouldnt .The bones chewed on the ends is classic fox and the pulling about about in the last pics are also classic fox behaviour .
  9. Went down to Martins for a shine and took the .222.We tried several places without success and the lamp was dying fast as we walked the lambing fields of some of Martins ground .We had done a couple of fields without seeing much when Martin picked out charlie in the fading beam .It was very obvious that this fox was staring at a pair of newborn lambs with thier mum but it was distracted by Martins excellent low pitch call .It was skylined at first but came in to about 30 yards for me to despatch it neatly with a good background of grass .A small vixen ,old but in good nick with a very dense co

  12. To make a sweeping statement about anything shows the failing in a man .The terrier world is full of that type .Met enough to know to avoid some people like the plague .Gets on your tits to be honest . Talk never dug nothing but quiet understanding says it all without having to ,in my book .Give me quiet understanding any day .

  19. Is the gland [teat area ]red, swollen and hot and is she lethargic ,no energy. If you spray a bit of milk on a white hanky you will see dark yellow bits and maybe a bit of blood .She may have mastitis already .Drying her off will help but the mastitis will need antibiotics if she is to be free from future problems .Vets really i think . PS hard to diagnose a problem purely from a discription .
  20. Took a few snaps of the fallow numbers in our area .Due for another cull end of month.
