  1. I'm sure I can find one for you 'FH'.............martin. By the way,I would normally of been with dropper, but,my knee is completely buggered,so,he didn't have me there to mop it up for him..............lol....I'd better get ready for the incoming now! regards Martin.
  2. Just to add that the foetuses are far from being full grown.
  3. Cheers mate .There are many reasons why the cull is not done earlier ,one of them being the pheasant season ,another is venison price .
  4. IF I WAS YOU, I WOULDNT PUT THIS THREAD UP WITH SO MUCH GLORY - THIS IS DISCUSTING. AS YOU QUOTED THE MAJORITY OF YOUR KILL WAS DOES. MOST OF THE DOES HAS FULLY GROWN FAWNS INSIDE THEM AT THE MOMENT - NOT FEOTUS. THESE SHOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED IN NOVEMBER/DECEMBER - AND NOT NOW. I AM NOT AN ANIMAL RIGHTS PERSON, MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN A HUNTER ALL HIS LIFE AND FULLY AWARE OF DATES FOR KILLS, BUT SURELY, YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF THIS AS WELL. STAGS & PRICKETS FAIR ENOUGH, NOT DOES WILL FULLY GROWN FAWNS INSIDE THEM. Im not concerned with glory at all ,if you knew me you would know t
  5. The first fallow cull on the nearby estate took place yesterday and i got the usual invite .We drew for high seats and i got the central peg where all the action was last year. The deer are hell of lot wiser to it now and kept moving in the open ,only stopping when in cover although a good number did provide shooting and a very decent bag of 78 was shot .Mostly does but a few prickets too as well as fawns .I managed half a dozen from my seat with some good shots i must add.My seat was in a sparsely wooded area and afforded very good vision .The deer were picked up more or less as they were sh
  6. Cheers mate Im looking forward to it. Have you seen any bucks at my favorite spot where I shot that big buck last year ?? Its full of sheep and been spread with shit at the moment mate
  7. Recent experience has reinforced the old adage for me 'to trust no-one '.No need for abuse though ,just be careful and look out for each other .This whole anti /media thing is set to get a hell of a lot worse from what i gather .
  8. That white stoat is a cracker mate .Had any mounted ? Good clean kills too, well done mate .
  9. Foxy mate .You will recognise this spot .That buck in centre pic has your name on it come the season .
  10. Starting to worry a bit that were not getting any in the pond this year
  11. Wonders of nature mate .Thanks for sharing
  12. As said ,you take it for granted a bit .Cracking pics mate .Maybe one day ..............................
  13. I respect your opinion mate but how many of us zero the rifle for 230 yds .Ive shot enough deer to realise it was totally my mistake and not the rifle .Show me a chap who has never misjudged a shot and ill show you a liar .Just telling it as it is ,as always .Cant remember the last bad shot i made so cant be doing too bad .Like i said just telling it as it is .
  14. To be honest mate ,its the easy ones that make us look silly from time to time .Bin there done that .No shame in it ,much
  15. Cracking mate ,Nice to see them, in small numbers
  16. Got to Martins place at 0600 this morning and we set off for his munty ground .Arrived in good time in the dark and as we climbed to the position ,we could hear a muntie buck barking in some fir plantings to our right and only 60 yds away .As we got to the shooting position ,another muntie barked in answer to the first ,almost certainly a doe .Martin recorded it on his phone ,played it back and was answered immediately from infront of us .A magical start to the morning if ever there was one .Daylight came slowly and the barking stopped as i knew it would .A fox managed to come in unseen along
  17. Good set up there mate .Voles in this country are mainly found with a roof over their heads ,ie in long grass, under plastic or wood and dont cause much of a problem in gardens .Its also the main food of several raptors which are nice to see including the barn owl .
  18. Not meaning to cast aspersons on anyones trap checking but if done at last light and early morning ,the badgers dont have a chance to steal from tunnels .Just an observation from time served on the ground .Foxes ,well thats another matter . .
  19. Cheers for that mate ,did the same on google but the other number is not recognised .Very ,very interesting this is .Someone will have some explaining to do for sure .Thanks again mate .
  20. Allgame -mate ,you are showing a distinct lack of knowledge if you believe we breed for brawn only .If a terrier cant find it cant stay .It goes hand in hand ,its just expected so not often mentioned . Your dogs that do a stint in and then out are useless over here ,a fault not to be bred from but hey horses for courses and if your dogs honestly do what you require of them , then who are we to criticise .
  21. Cracking day mate ,we covered the best part of 4000 acres on sunday and never found a single fox to ground .I thought maybe a vixen would be in but it was very mild to the extreme down here .T shirt weather anyway .Well done again mate .
