  1. The very same mate, just the other side the hedge from her actually ,just coincidence though .
  2. Does show more and more as the year goes on .The need to feed the foetus cant be stopped therefore more chance of a shot .
  3. Have to agree with you .The offal, red and green are to be examined by a vet Monday but the carcass has been incinerated.Dont want too many of them .
  4. Isn't the tail so you can pull them by it too, if stuck? No its bloody not! Any more than YOUR ear isnt a handle for dragging you about! SO here we are again your comment no its bloody not, , OK lets just say you terrier to ground you have dug to it its locked on , so you need to despatch humanly the quarry being a pheasant killing fox, 1 do you call come on patch come patch theirs a good fellow come to daddy 2 put your hand in a stroke the good little boy and caress him out of the hole 3 ask
  5. The sun shone here for the first time in ages so i finished work early ,grabbed the gear and went to a place that id seen plenty of does previosly .The ground borders an old railway line and a main road, the wind was wrong for a straight approach so i went aroud the old track to come in downwind. As i walked along the track ,glassing the land ,i saw a brace of does out feeding ,two fields in, and made a note of their wherabouts .Climbed the gate at the top end as its locked and just caught the back of a fox runing through a gateway into the next field .Nothing else here so onwards . This is the
  6. Have to agree Ian .That peruke of mine was sold at auction and is now in Germany .Hideous thing. Another malform mate .
  7. Out this morning at 3am .17 rabbits from a market garden that is hammered by other lampers .sorry no pics
  8. What i will say on this subject is dont leave it too late in the year as young are sometimes left in the tatty drey unless you poke it to the floor .Excellent sport that requires a dog by yourside ,not essential but does make for good retrieval of injured squigs .Most squigs that live untouched by this method are the lucky ones that live in holes but read on .Jackdaw tapping was another past time ofthe young keeper.A method of thinning out egg thieves at nesting time .Hollow trees, old buildings are tapped and the pair or singles shot as they leave the nest. Sqirrels are taken the same way if
  9. Lets all chill out .let the fecking lot in, who cares.Well i do and theres wrong and theres right .If it stops this type of post from getting the BIG UP then its worth it .
  10. You are all missing the point here and that is one of time, place and regulariy .The quarry we hunt relies on senses we know nothing about to stay alive .Besides these senses ,there is an understanding of timescale and danger linked to what causes that danger . Rabbits may not appear to be blessed with much brain power at times but when the penny finally drops that thier brethren fall over or are caught by a dog at the same time after dark, from the same direction and by the same bright light ,no matter what colour ,they react and run in way before a chance at a kill ,they are then shy to the
  11. Personally ,i feel strongly that anyone starting in rifle shooting should begin at the beginning.I mean with a .22lr.Its a very big step up from airgun and shotty and opens your eyes on the safety issue .Your feo can see you are responsible ,having used this for a while and the next re-issue ,you can apply for the .22 cf .This again is a huge leap up, not seen by some who take the deer courses and go straight in with a .243 or larger .You will learn more by going this road than any other .Fast passes are wrong in my eyes but its all about the money for some .Good luck in your application mat
  12. Not a pop at you mate in any way BUT would those dogs do a coon single handed or is that how you work them .The test of a terrier is to work it single handed .Most terriers will give an account of themselves when doubled up ,even russels, lol. If thats the way its done over there then fair play but it means nothing to most of us over here .
  13. If you like malforms then this might float your boat ,a full peruke.Shot in Wiltshire 2006.
  14. John. You havnt time to post on here mate .Get out as there will be another take its place .lol.
  15. Too late ,bought the 6-9 will do a review soon.
  16. Off thread a bit i know but id like to share a story about the rspca that was a bit weird and worrying, i thought at the time .I used to keep ferrets,b.o.p as well as the usual dogs ,lurchers ,terriers .I also ,from time to time will take in an injured bird animal and try to mend /hack it back .Im not alone in this im sure and many people will agree that country sports go hand in hand with a love of nature .I recently had a kestrel which i released having been hit by a car and someone ,probably a neighbour had informed the rspca . Anyway ,before that id been given a mink kit from a dubious s
  17. The bipod is a 12-26 mate .Excellent for kneeling and sitting but the prone is what has always worried me .I use it like that but it brings my right shoulder off the ground too far sometimes for a steady shot .Just invested in a 6-9 to hopefully solve that.Very good for long grass and sitting out but you cant have it all.
  18. Blacks joining BNP,you are having a laugh .Government may legislate all they want ,you people may read into it what you want but it wont happen .Have you not heard what the BNP is about .Its about re-establishing white British rule, White British values and jobs for white British people .Get a grip and read into it no further than what ive wrote .If these aims arnt for you then dont vote BNP,simple .
  19. Some cracking headsets there mate .Southern England?
