    wonder what a labour government would have done faced with same or would it have never come to it under labour .A failing industry was the problem .The way thatcher went about it was her downfall ,her hatred of the labour ran unions .Chalk and cheese .Unions ,although set up by workers for the workers were politically swayed and bought off by opposing government so there was only ever one outcome

    What i would want to know is how long the chap has line bred and has he used this mating before.Too often would concern me but a one off because they were outstanding would encourage the sale .If your buying it with a view to future breeding /starting a line then please refer back to the breeder for his advice on what to do .Im guessing you have done a bit of background on it and are happy with what you know. BTW any breeding within a line is exceptable knowing all is well with the stock but too close is not recommended too often .

    On the game fame i worked the automatic turning system kicked in twice a day mate but we manually turned once more just before candleling and it was turned off altogether just before hatching .Cant remember number of days as it was 25 years ago lol.

    Far too good for what i want mate .What makes me smile here is the lads that were all for holding a dog back in another thread til 2 and here they are agreeing this dog is shite and should be pts .What hope is there really . If you do rehome mate get the dog neutered so as to prevent it being bred off .

    Personally i think the art of rat control without poison has been lost on most of the lads working,owning the big firms .The firm that does the control on my local chicken farm was asked if it was good practice to run a trapline along side poisoning and he told the farmer trapping is now illegal .

    Maybe a quick outline of the legislation involving fox snaring would be helpful as not having done the course myself i am interested. ie where to set and the illegal use of kill posts etc,drag poles .Actually is it illegal to set in a hedge any more or in fences as dosnt this turn an anti locker into a locker by using the background material as a kill post. Read the defra guidelines but nothing there to say what the law is on where to set .Clarification would be nice.Cheers in advance

    Used to people as its on the side of a golf course . 20 year ago it would have been mate but can now sit back and watch having done most things That buck has eluded the keeper for 2 seasons where he is .Cant shoot anywhere near the course obviously and he hang out with the does that make it their home .Managed to get on a few in the rut apparently mind

    The problem with boisterous pups is when they turn as a group on one pup .Had a few casualties in the past before they went .Its not the teeth but the trauma that kills i think .

I guess some of us were fortunate in that we had the chance to get out with those that knew the game inside out and knew how to pass it on too .The method of breeding good reliable stock was explained in full and having done for ,for so long it appears strange there are other variations .Still cant get me head round late starters though .
