A Bit Of A Project . . .

Before you go ahead with the barn mate you might want to consult local planning office .I know a lad that went ahead without, now they are enforcing demolition .The drawback with all planning issues is that you are then on the radar and that water may cease to flow .If you are into it for the long term then my advice would be to go through proper channels as it can all end badly and the dream smashed overnight .Good luck though mate. -

I would say its just a case of rough play .If you want grudges then keep terriers mate .I would do my utmost to work them together. They are working dogs i take it. -

Just an observation mate and not a critism.Youve been lucky so far in that those pigs havnt pushed out under but the day will come .You need some electric fence near the bottem and more space for them mate. You are very lucky though and i wish you well. -
Its the colour of the blood you want to be concerned with mate .If its watery ,brown then its natural but bright red continuous is a cause for concern .Should slow up if former but latter will require a checkup.

are these foxes fairly urban though foxdropper? im betting they arent if they are how you describe?, by me there is a lot of urban fox and they do seen to stay put alot longer Totally rural mate .Never considered urban foxes as ive never had anything to do with them .My fingers engage before the brain most times as a man can only comment truthfully on what hes seen in life.As said a man has only to walk near a litter here and they are move .If theres trouble we wait until they are moved normally before having them as the farmer will have been to every hole normally . -
He said sensible money mate .

Just a little story here which illustrates what im getting at -Several years ago the local estate was told by Wessex woodland to cull the fallow or the grant system would stop .The estate not wanting to lose a massive tree planting grant agreed and put together a plan to use the services of local stalkers in high seats to cull as many does and prickets as poss in a day.I was lucky enough to get an invite along with many others i knew .22 rifles in all of which 2 had any dsc paperwork but all having served time the proper way .The day went very well with 98 shots fired and 97 deer killed outri

Dont know where your at with scotland thing mate .Phoned 5 outfits this morning with a view to taking my boy for a stag this fall and not one mentioned paperwork ,one even saying it meant nothing when i pressed it..All asked what calibre i was using which was expected .To buy a lease maybe but not visiting so maybe you are out of your depth a bit in your knowledge OR there are plenty that dont care about paper ,your choice now maybe. One things for sure ,we wont roll over as easy as you softies

Because some respond to nothing less .Never in my life have i known a vixen not to move cubs at the slightest disturbance, ffs you only walk by them down here and they are gone .Not necessarily far but moved all the same.Cant believe foxes are that different across the country . -
Still not buying it .So your saying my fc will be revoked if i dont do the dsc .Wishful thinking on your part mate having parted with money for what i get free .IF it goes that way there will many thousands of deer poached ,shot with fox legal calibres and i cant see them letting that happen. You carry on in your paper filled world and ill do what i do for free, the way it is here .As you are part of the scheme its in your interest to scaremonger as otherwise all the training has been in vain . You mention that the dsc gives you the right to over rule plod on safety which is no different to my o

Wednesday evening saw me at a farm where theres generally an early season buck as theres a few does permanently on the ground .Stalked the whole farm without seeing so much as a fresh slot but getting back to the buildings i took one more look behind and was more than surprised to see 5 deer running towards a patch of turnips the farmer attemted to strip graze this winter but due to the rain never happened .The deer however must be making the most of it.They all put their heads down and started munching on the crop just as the heavens opened and down it came big time .I expected them to run fo

Money is the only reason behind these courses ,nothing more nothing less.A quick fix to achieve something that others have spent years to work towards .I for one will NOT be sitting anything and i know many more the same .Been said before but it should never have been allowed in the first place.Proper f****d it for you boys up north .I do feel the doom mungering by Cap is heresay though ,something he would want implemented rather than whats coming .My FEO is adament its voluntary and will be for the foreseeable future .Its a quick fix for those who cant be arsed to serve the time in the field.

You will have to get over your phobias of pieces of paper and snobs . Cheers Stu You obviously have a passion for the game as do i .Does it not sit well with you that folk can get into stalking within a year .Be free to carry a rifle and make decisions all based on a few hours spent in the field .Phobias are for weirdos ,not level headed folk like me but passion is another thing altogether.

Not true not all vixens will move cubs if somebody or something goes near an earth at all i know of alot of earths i keep an eye on that are cubbed in and they dont grab cubs and run theres an earth 300m from my house in a chestnut wood ive walked past it everyday this week with my lurchers and they have a sniff and mark it everytime i go past and they have not been moved and rare they have been over the years [/ quote] Sorry mate but not believing that either . I couldnt give a f**k what you belive to be honest Either your lurchers are marking nothing -
What Neil describes is basically what i do with two seperate tight bred lines that were created from same type bitches, different dogs.Never knew it had a name but i do now.The two were created as insurance originally but now they are both doing the job.It is ,however ,very tempting to use a good dog exclusively and so a plan is needed to prevent them becoming one.
