  1. Not true not all vixens will move cubs if somebody or something goes near an earth at all i know of alot of earths i keep an eye on that are cubbed in and they dont grab cubs and run theres an earth 300m from my house in a chestnut wood ive walked past it everyday this week with my lurchers and they have a sniff and mark it everytime i go past and they have not been moved and rare they have been over the years [/ quote] Sorry mate but not believing that either .
  2. Known them to cohabit many a time.Even have cubs in same earth. That run up the bank aint made by no fox ,the claw scraping on the vines in the background is fresh and blowing the pic up the run is covered in badger prints .The truth is all i ask from anyone .I accept the lad is young but facts are facts.
  3. Re read your post and decide for yourself whos sanctimonious. That bit of paper dosnt make you any better than any of us but its clear you think you are . Snobbery through and through but you know that too.As long as people can buy their way into stalking im afraid we will always be at loggerheads .
  4. But needs to be dug in the first place by something thats not there.OR does he mean they aint there now.
  5. LOL. unfortunately it seems to be a general trait, called bone collecting, and has nothing whatsoever to do with deer management unless if carried out in a correct manner .Decent bucks are being removed from the areas and in some cases leaving either yearling bucks or older animals that have gone or going back, left to service the grossly abundance of does that have been untouched or little controlled in the cull program through lack of interest . Its common knowledge by those involved in deer management that numbers and control of deer population can only be achieved in a balanced way by
  6. Of who ?????? Keep your hair on mate, refers to OP
  7. Cheers mate, now afraid to set any lol.
  8. If not then put him away and try him when hes 3 or 4 or maybe 5 but better still save on dog food and feed something thats proper bred .No wonder the general concensus is that the working terrier is in decline.
  9. First impressions of you were right it appears .
  10. Quite easy to call a muntie to you for shooting purposes of course. The art is to imitate the bark but not too loud or you will have the reverse effect .They can be called easily in cover with a buttalo roe call using the soft fiep noise, but never twice .Cracking little deer that turn up in some unexpected places .Had quite a few run at me down rides when barking and need the dog for my own protection.lol.
  11. Back to the original post , always used to be staff for digging and apbt for running .Havnt used one for 15 years but its there from a half bred wheeler dog x small pit from Oxford .
  12. IMO you have entered this blindly mate .I have never known a case of derranged behaviour in a dog fully cured only masked and waiting to reappear with the right catalist . You know what needs to be done so make it happen and get a pup from a breed wheres theres no excuses .I agree it probably fear related but will never be suppressed .
  13. You know i wouldnt tar you all mate but cant bring myself to type their names .lol. Luckily the lads i do know of over with you are of sound mind lol.
  14. Mine have scratched faces from all the cub digging ,little blighters .
  15. Does anyone know Tom and Jerry
  16. Dont call myself anything just do what i do you fuckwit
  17. This will run and run with those two defending the "sport" brigade .I do what i do and no amount of shitty posts will change that .We have plenty of foxes here much to the farmers dispare. .I really would like to meet a sheep farmer that had a good word for foxes or crows or ravens for that matter .The likes of these two from over the water is what f****d it all up for us .Terrier work is much much more to me than a jolly out testing dogs .The sport aspect implies we breed foxes for our amusement a fine way to treat a farmer that lets you on for control . Let them be ,a sentiment i will try
  18. Pic below bittern is a fallow display area .The vegetation has been thrashed .Soon to be a rutting stand .
  19. Ok .Cards on the table .Personally i will never use a dog of mine over anything i dont want back in the future .Simple.Call it selfish ,call it what you want but dont call it the ruination of anything .Why anyone with a good line bred dog would want to spread it about is beyond me unless money is involved and anyone with a good scatterbred is hoping wildly that he will produce and bring a name to the dog.Someone cited greyhounds as an example of why to put dogs at open stud and ill tell you why .The gene pool of dogs making the grade is much ,much smaller than you might imagine in their world
  20. My only criticism would be the ears .Never seen a fox, mouth open without his ears back .Think about it .Watched many in natural surrounding not just hunting situations and they greet each other open mouthed but always ears back .The mouth and eyes are perfect though mate .
  21. Very good mate .Might use you in future .
