    Nothing to do with pheromones mate .They are drawn to the carbon monoxide we breath out .I personally have never had a reaction to a bite just a tiny red mark .If you keep your finger on one whilst they are sucking blood it's said they get massive as the only way to stop it is to fly away .Must have swatted 50 one evening in Scotland recently whilst deer watching .b*****d things .Very satisfying to be on a river bank ,swat one and see a fish take it ,even better if it's still kicking . Used to worry about them transmitting diseases but ...................

    Boding us more to do with a feel good factor for us and not much to do with work .They don't work for us it's in them .All we do is channel it to meet our own gains .Bonding to unite a mutual friendship ,yes that can equally be done with a kennel dog .Anybody doing any ratting will no doubt have dogs outdoors .I know people who have working dogs inside and they are the last to realise the smell they create .Working dogs outside for me and spend as much time as I can with them free in the garden.

    Which is why every year I ask the question on here how many lads go back to the breeder for advice becaue he is the ONLY man with the knowledge to take it forward having got it to where it is now .The intelligent agree but the tossers will argue .

    Nicely put Chesney mate .So in short, Alan let the line get away from him and is now taking flack from poor decisions he has no control over ,from those with no other interest bar coin .I wasn't being funny in any way just needed telling straight .Before I came on here I'd never heard of him ,stuck in a bubble of my own .I've had similar occurrences but never felt the need to vent about it ,easy going as I am .lol. I'd of thought the man would of wanted to shame those who's interest goes beyond work but that's just me .Name and shame the fuckers but I guess if it's gone that far he don't

    Can't see why we can't debate his dogs ,they aint super dogs just digging dogs of which there are thousands .If Nuttall or Wheeler threads are up they run regardless . Something a bit creepy if we are getting censored on what we can and can't debate .Plenty of mens names been up for far worse crimes than producing good workers and not been deleted .We just near the truth and it gets pulled .Seems to be something we arnt allowed to hear but that effects a great many terrier lads .

    My failing has been to be too generous with pups to mates of mates who I automatically thought were my mates .Another is never breeding to the Blade bitch, the last of my true original line kept at my place .She had an eye infection which always seemed to flare up whenever I thought about covering her .

    Not long back from Scotland and we flew over the area on the way back .Huge smoke trail blowing over houses ,towns .Need to sort this quicker.

    In the village I used to live in ,a couple moved into a cottage right on the edge of our then shoot .We had to drive past his house for entry which was fine for while,all very civil with hands up and good mornings etc , until one day we did a small drive next to his house ,a patch of rambles really and sport was brisk for a while .Matey turned on us as we left that evening calling us nasty names lol.There was no pacifying the chap and things went from bad to worse every shoot day with him and his missus shouting obscenities at us shy country folk .The farmer who's land we were on had had words

    I'd say it was looking for a drink .Few encounters over the years including one that followed me through a wood ,middle of a wood .Old boys here used to say a badger out in the daylight meant he was sick and looking for somewhere to die it I don't believe this at all .It's only in very hot weather I've seen them out.

    There' a few there that should have been measured in fairness but that one your on about Rich is very light in weight despite the bulk .Shot that one courtesy of Martin who used to frequent the site .I'l get a better of it as it really is something special in size .
