  2. Yeah exactly as Moley says.........i have several about double that size that as i use as stop nets and gate nets as well. The principle is exactly the same............The main critera is plenty of bagging (Kill) Rolfe.
  3. Yes deffinately bullxbeddie in there somewhere.......i have beddie lurchers and the beddie look is quite distinctive. Rolfe.
  4. Yes the plucking (spelt correctly) would give the game away somewhat. Glad Kay aint cooking my dinner. Only joking kay Good pictures lads...........great day.......and love the dog........looks very keen. Rolfey.
  5. Hey Lass.........if you put the England and Scots teams together you wouldn't be able to make one good player. Rolfe.
  6. At least they weren't as crap as your spelling, young will........... Well when England play Scotland..........it will be the case of who wants to lose the most.... They were both clueless Rolfe.
  7. Well Ditch........what lays inside that tunnel on that rat run is a nicely rat-scented and weathered Mk4 Fenn which old ratty and his mates find very hard to avoid. Sunk into the earth so it sits flush with the floor no self-respecting rat would step over it.............but plenty have been seen dead in it. Rolfe.
  8. I am not doubting that the tunnels work.........just seems a lot of work to me. I prefer the portable tunnels with restricted access.(See Picture) Rolfe.
  9. Jack's Series "Out of Town" was and still is the best portrayal of the countryside ever in my opinion. Rolfe.
  10. Wow...the things you can do with your hands Kay... Rolfey.

    Jack Hargreaves

Yeah...........Jack was my hero in the "Out of Town" series...... great countryman and full of knowledge. He also co-presented the childrens programme "How" when it first started. Rolfe.
  12. Brilliant........i have just printed a copy for my 16 year old daughter to give to her boyfriend Rolfe.
  13. Was interested in your trapping hammer thread.......did you say you may be able to locate some? Rolfe. yep might be able to find a few Rolfe but will have to have a look around and ask a few people. Will have to wait and see what i can find. i am looking for one myself. Cheers Mate, If you are lucky let me know by pm......would love another to add to my collection. Regards Rolfe.
  14. Take a look at www.killgerm.com for all your requirements......the NEW type flasks now require an adaptor for the applicator. They should still have the old type flasks in stock though. They will require evidence that you are trained in the application techniques for Aluminium Phosphide. Rolfe.
  15. Was interested in your trapping hammer thread.......did you say you may be able to locate some? Rolfe.
  16. Come on you England.......... World cup Finalists (again) Rolfe.
  17. I use a lot of rabbit cage traps on my regular rabbit contracts.........also they are invaluable at times in garden situations. I just wondered if they are still as popular as they once were........they were all the rage a few years back. Where it is safe to do so i much prefer to use snares for rabbit control....mainly because they are more discreet and cost effective. Rolfe.
  18. and why do you think people set there nets there in the first place? luck? Exactly my Thinking TJ..........! My dog marks occupied buries a certain way........and takes a completely different stance when expecting a bolt when the nets are down. Rolfe
  19. Well............it's all good experience........even if you aint getting owt but fresh air.........but better than being shut in all day, Here's another picture from last year on the farm........enjoy. Rolfey.
  20. Ditch..........my sentiments exactly.........the farms i use to "help me unwind" in the summer months are the same ones i catch moles on during the winter months...........Free of charge. By offering my normally expensive services to the farmers..........i get free access to rabbiting, pigeon shooting, etc. It works well and all parties are happy with the deal, and often i have helped cart the corn if a driver has been missing for a day..........You scratch my back etc. Happy Days.............Rolfe.
  21. Just a short post to make all you Lurcher Lovers think about the long hot lazy days of summer and the forthcoming rabbit harvest.........can't wait. Rolfey.
  22. You can use small stones to hold the net on the gate rails..........but not the reccomended method. Much simpler and quicker is to hold the net up on a couple of hazel wands. Rolfe.
  23. Ditch has a site that creates thumbnails for downloading pics on here...........if you ask him real nice he might just send you the link.......wait till he's had his curry first though. Rolfe.
  24. Getting some brilliant pictures lads and lasses..........keep em coming. Rolfe.
  25. Yes...........spot on bill mate.........it must be a beddie thing eh! He also loves catching partridge as well, this is also common in beddie crosses i believe. Rolfe.
