Well it would have the effect of the bar having a shorter distance to travel when the trap was activated so hence a quicker kill i suppose..........i will check with Kania and get back to you. Rolfe.

Well if you make them up s shown in the picture, they become virtually invisible when set high up the tree-trunks. do't forget to fix some wire mesh to the underside of the board though. Rolfey. What you mean to deter them going around the trunk No..........to give them some grip to run up the board into the trap mate.

Yes roll on the Ficam season again.......just a quicky.........i keep count of the number of wasp nests i treat each season just wondered if anyone else did? i also record the 1st and last nests treated....the season is deffinately extending.

Hey Missie you are dead right there........a good battering on a saturday has been my life for many years. I still like to teach the youngsters some tricks of the trade though....trouble is i can't catch em nowadays Although i played for the first team for many seasons i now trundle out for the 4th's.........when i said to the skipper why am i in the fourth team?.........he replied..........because we haven't got a 5th....aint lost his sense of humour then Rolfey.

If you are serious about getting into pest control then training is a must have requirement. The course you mentioned is a good one but there are others available. Most pest control suppliers will not trade with you unless you can prove you have had adequate training to be able to use certain chemicals. Also take into consideration your Insurance requirements as well (public liability) as this is not cheap either. Rolfey.

One of our lads has been saying that for as long as i've known him, about 10 years! Our oldest player has just turned 50 and was captain last year. Well Missie........i'm 54 and still like turning out occaisionally..........ok not for the 1st team now admittedly. it helps keep you fit and active i think. Rolfey.

I love playing and watching Rugby Union.....huge International Fan.......and go to as many matches at HQ as i can manage. Also like Metal Detecting and like watching The All England Ladies Nude Morris Dancing Team. Rolfey.

I have in the past caught rabbits like that............but would much sooner use Mk6 Fenns. Imbras, or Juby's. No.....snares want setting on the rabbit runs ONLY for the best results. That said, where rabbits pass under or through hedges and fence-lines these too can be profitable catching places. Rolfey.

If your refering to sticks............i like mine about 25mm down to about 20mm if its a good stick. Rolfey.

I have come across tumours like this on many occaisions and i feel this is what it is........liver Fluke looks a lot different. Rolfey.

A good way that i was once shown...........and it can work.............is to have someone standing up the road with another dog and walk you dog up to it as if it was going out for a walk. The instant it starts having ago.........about turn and take the dog straight back in the house and leave it. After a while it should begin to realise that if it plays up its walk will be halted. It works well if you are on the way to some enjoyful excersise with the pup. Like all things you need to persevere with it but i have seen it work. good luck. Rolfey.
