Unfortunately, no it's illegal in England. In Scotland, if they are damaging agricultural crops, or are posing a health risk, you can get a licence to shoot them. As i understand it.....Starlings may be taken by shooting, cage trap or net........under the general licence to prevent agricultural damage...........Unless anyone knows different. Rolfe. Hi Moley..........yes we get the same muppets around here doing wasps for nowt..........but they usually can't do the ones that need a bit of thinking about. What would happen if an accident happened though?.........they certainly would't be insured thats for sure. Rolfe.

Lloydy............i do over 300 wasp nests every year and maybe get stung once or twice.........never go stung once last year.........I sting the customers though Rolfey. what you charge for wasp nests where you are Rolfe? Depends mate........£40.00 seems the going rate here.........but it varies depending where and how awkward it is to access the nest. Rolfe.

Yes .........no problems with shooting pigeons on a sunday.....that said it must be done under the terms of the general licence.....IE..for crop protection etc. Rolfe.

Makes my blood boil Lass seeing the damage them b*****ds do.......as you say..... let the "Bunny Huggers" see that. You'll never convince them though..........tossers that they are. Good luck and i hope you catch it............. me .........i would sit out after dark and squeak it in, or snare it.......cages can be a bit hit and miss at times...........Good Luck. Rolfey.

Yes Kay..........they are clever little hot arsed buggers.........and the nests are constructed as John said of chewed wood mixed with saliva. It is facinating to see the different colours in the nests "paper" construction where the wasps have been chewing wood from fence panels stained different colours.Lots of greens and red cedar type stains. Rolfey.

Hiya All. Just thought you may like to look at a couple of wasp nests i cut from hedges last season......i always marvel at the wonderful construction techniques of old Stripey. Rolfey.

If you use the filter for lamping then i would leave it on personally.........that said i prefer to have my dimmer switch turned down low.........and then increase it should it be a long run. Rolfey.

Depends what you wanna do really............if you need the rabbits then nets are a must.........if you just want to see the dogs working then don't bother with nets. Or do a combination of the two..........net some holes and leave others open and give the dogs a chance (and the rabbits). Rolfey.

I use these traps regularly in woodland and garden situations and they are very effectve. The ones i use are called "Elgeeco" traps, but the ones in the picture differ slightly from mine. They are customer friendly in as much as they can be used as feeders for wild birds during active service. Highly Reccomend. Rolfey.
