  1. Just a suggestion but get it castrated before you let it go at least that way it can't be bred off. You could charge a small fee to cover the cost of the operation. If it was mine I would pts but it's not so it has nothing to do with me. Good luck in what ever you decide.
  2. For mooching I use 2 beagle x spaniels and a wheaten/bull/greyhound. To say there's only 2 bushers it sounds like a full pack of fox hounds when they get on lol.
  3. Is it well hung ?????

    Docking?

You don't see beagles with docked tails and they fly through thick cover. Terriers look a c**t with a full tail but to say they get shredded when working cover is a load of bollocks I've had dogs most of my life and never seen any shredded tails ? These are my 2 first cross springer beagles with full tails and they don't get shredded either.

    Docking?

I wouldn't want to dock a bushing dog, I like to see the tail going mad when they find a line.
  6. They look well them boxes, and can just be turned upside down if you prefer the door to drop down like I do. I've just had some made exactly the same or I'd be ordering some at that price, bargain.
  7. Most dogs will learn to hunt to some extent if there took out regular and allowed to do so. When I was a kid me and my mate started with a border collie and an Alsatian and we still managed the odd catch lol.
  8. They've had to put saluki into the line now to try and bring some gameness back. Oh and one of the men behind it all has an obsession with midgets lol
  9. Nobody likes killing cubs, I don't do it myself as I don't need to but I can understand the reasons why some have to do it. Foxes don't wait for lambs to mature before they slaughter them do they ?. If there affecting a mans living something has to be done, it's hard enough to survive in this shitty country without VERMIN eating your wages.
  10. Been a good thread this but IMO there's a massive difference between "open stud " and "helping a lad out with a lining". If I had a dog good enough to breed from I would go as far as to line a very close mates bitch providing he was breeding for himself and the spares were culled. If you put a dog at open stud your eventually gonna get a bad name for that dog, because it's always the dog with a good name that people can't wait to slate when it's offspring don't make the grade. Good breeding is a massive bonus but in the hands of dickheads the best bred terriers will often amount to nothing,
  11. I haven't a clue lads the dog was bought for ratting and bushing, which is something it did really well. He wasn't a lot of money either and even managed to bolt the odd fox.
  12. And what have greyhounds got to do with digging terriers ? There's more waste bred off greyhounds than anything and maybe that's because they breed the way you say they do ?
  13. to help others in need of a good bitch needing a pup. A good stud with a good bitch can throw good pups, the more a good dog is bred off, the more the working genes will run in the breed, keeping it in tight circles is selfish and beyond me, if someone asked me for a line i wouldnt turn them down because it would ruin the dogs rep... BolloxBang on.If you breed to a dog and the pups don't turn out as expected, it's the mating didn't gel/click, move on and try again. How did the americans improve the APBT? How do greyhounds, horses and pidgeons get faster over time? It aint by keeping closed
  14. Just found this belonging to a dog I got off Yorkiboy a bout 10 year ago.

  16. Ring me 0300 100 1234 I'm well interested
  17. At the end of the day the Plummer terrier is no different to all the others. Some will work and some won't but all can be bought, bred and peddled by dickheads.
  18. If I remember rightly vitalin looks like rabbit food and is well known for giving dogs the squirts lol I use a local brand called k9 and it also looks like rabbit food with dried meat mixed in but I only used it with boiled mince and the dogs always look well on it.
  19. I like the first cross wheaten greyhound but I just can't see what use a pure wheaten would be out in the field ? There a time bomb waiting to go off. No I'll re phrase that, proper wheatens are a time bomb. The ones I've seen over here are just big furry pets that are good for nothing lol.
  20. Stabba why not just get a Russell or Patterdale there's still plenty about and the right lads will probably give you a pup ?
  21. Back in them days I bet more dogs were closer related than people thought. Without the internet and phones etc people could only use dogs they would of known about not what they've read about. Most would of used local dogs and after a few years of using each other's dogs the breeding would of got tighter.
  22. What if u pick a pup dog up by just taking a chance a it turns out to be a real good dog is it right in wat ur sayin that u shouldn't be able to stud that dog out because u can't find a close relative to that dog , I know there is so many views on this but to me it's a pointless argument everyone will just keep doin what their doing an there's nothin that can be done like me for example if I wanted to put my dog for stud I would regardless if I couldn't breed to relative aslongs the bitch is proven an got a few years under her I'd do it an as for the pedlers u know who they are so don't breed
