  8. There you go Mac, to be honest I like most of his paintings I thought Simon also did a painting of a Catalina style water plane, but I'm not sure about it myself. Really like those planes ! built between 1935 till the end of WW2. If I only had money, I would commision one myself from Simon

  17. You're welcome After WW2 there was an aversion against " German things " that made that a lot of air rifles which were bought after WW2 were British made. Especially the BSA Airsporters were much loved, and right so. A real beast of an air rifle (later German models like the Falke and Anschutz sporter model 1954 underlever air rifles were based on that model) I have 4 Airsporters in my collection, all Mk1 & Mk2's, really love that automatic tap, coming up when you pull the underlever to charge the rifle. In the mid 60's things started to change and the German rifles won in the end.
  18. But still it's good sport to catch them on very light tackle..., keeps you busy, while waiting on that PB .
