  1. Nostalgia ........ This is how it all started : I still have them, along with a couple of Webley pistols and a couple more; BSA, Sheridan etc. Useful? not much, just plain shooting fun, killing them tin cans
  2. I really have the deepest respect for any trap, even a small nipper hurts like hell, when caught on you little cold finger
  3. One stayed in the Stonemasons pub in Petworth and had to empty two pints of local product (Cider) a bit to fast , afterwards I fell like being on the good green stuff for the next hour or so......
  4. Mushroom, same score over here, must be that European influence ..... First one, was a failure, should have waved and send them over to the others, for a bit of collateral damage...
  5. Really enjoyed watching that, nice lab working and great scenery !
  6. The Hatsan model 25 is a air pistol. Don't know with what purpose you'll be buying it, but rather restricted in the UK version (max 6 fpe) Rather hard to cock, to keep steady and to hit something regular. It's really a beast of a very hard-hitting air pistol ( Dutch version doing 11+ fpe ) You could look for the Model 25 tactical (supertact), which has a integrated shoulderstock, which makes it easier to aim a bit more steadier, but fixing a scope isn't easy either.(don't know if these are classified as a airrifle in the UK ?) http://www.hatsan.com.tr/en_mod_25_supercharger.html http:/
  7. I put a denture tablet in it after having not used the flask a long time; tablet in, some hot water on it and leave for twenty minutes, rinse and ready to use.Use the same method for my hip flasks. You could also use some washing soda, some Alu foil put together in the flask and than pour piping hot water on it, will really clean the inside of the flask. Rinse and use
  8. If I only had have that bush, none around here really am fond of a nice sip of home made sloe-gin. This is the second year no sloes are on the bushes (only a few around my place)
  9. Although we've lost certain rights (freedom) we still have a lot to go for, certainly compared to an awful lot of other countries.
  10. I'm a big supporter of Remembrance day, be it in my own country or abroad. I feel that I owe my freedom to all the young guys and girls who gave their best and their lives to let me live in freedom. I understand that ancient history like the battle of Agincourt has lost it place in this, but looking at the world of conflict the past hundred years I will be remembering the offers all the people made for freedom. Although I think that a lot of the arguments to legitimize battle weren't as noble or valid as they should have been (here politics and politicians come in) , but the soldiers who wen

  14. 8mm steel tread did the trick, along with some epoxy Fork had been drying in the shed for more than three years.
  15. Thanks guys, it's privilege to have this kind of wildlife so close to home (I'm sure the sparrows think otherwise )
  16. Thanks guys for the nice comments, just living on the edge of a small village and that garden pond isn't anything special either; just some carp, sunfish, frogs and newts in it and a lot of waterlilies. Somehow it looks the right mix for my little friend, as he's coming back every time. Don't hope the sparrow hawk will chase him, think sparrows are easier prey than that kingfisher
  17. Canadian air guns are even more restricted than those in the UK: These are air guns with a maximum muzzle velocity of 152.4 metres or 500 feet per second and/or a maximum muzzle energy of 5.7 joules or 4.2 foot-pounds. Such air guns are exempt from licensing, registration, and other requirements under theFirearms Act, and from penalties set out in the Criminal Code for possessing a firearm without a valid licence or registration certificate. Anything above this limit, will need a licence
