    Maybe look for new places? If you're seeing them about but they're not in the usual spots they must be going to ground somewhere. We've been finding them in places that are usually poor.

    Can't fault it this year. Now they're pairing up they seem to be everywhere.

    My mate had a tiny black bitch a few seasons back. She was about 10" at the shoulder god knows what she weighed but it wasn't much. She was handy for rattling foxes out of big spots but that's where the their usefulness ends IMO.

    You're one of the lucky ones TW! I'm in the North East, there's enough to get you by but nothing to guarantee good numbers throughout the season so got to travel a fair bit. I've been all over the place so far Wales, Scotland, Cumbria, Staffordshire etc. It's nice to dig in different company and in different surroundings though.

    2010 was a good Winter. We had snow on the ground for over 2 months. I remember going digging on the Boxing Day, the car said it was -12 outside and the first dig we had was only 4ft but the first 18 inches was frozen ground!

    A lad I know in NI says the place is hollow atm, he says they're struggling to get past the first earths they go to as there's that much stuff!
