  1. Certis UK have recalled all Talunex because of a possible quality issue with the product. Talunex is NOT linked to the recent tragic death of a man near Berwick - the product implicated there was Phostoxin.
  2. I hate to be pickey, but that is not quite right.

    Blog

Anyone else on here blog? I've just started. Any comments and tips welcome....
  4. Hi Fellman You'd be better off posting that stuff on PestPro? in the classified section. Why BPCA members only BTW? Surely you would sell to anyone who is qualified?
  5. I always set a few boxes up like that to catch the rabbits that run up and down the fence line. They work well. The thing about drop boxes is to 'sell' the principle of 'managed access'. Unless you provide managed access, the rabbits will just dig under the fence. I did an english heritage job a few years ago where they installed their own fencing. They went down nine feet with the wire, and the rabbits still dug under it; because there was no 'managed access'. They wont make that mistake again..........

I replied with two words - one of them was 'off'. I suggest everyone replies and crams their inbox full of messages. Having to go through them all and delete them may slow em down a bit....

    Farriery

My uncle is a blacksmith and farrier. He did his apprenticeship in the fifties, and the first year was spent pumping the bellows in the forge! He's never been out of work, and still shoes a few even though he's seventy-five. Short career? Not him.
  8. Country Life for me, 'cause you can't put a better bit of butter on yer knife....................
  9. Taken from the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981, Part 1, Section 5 Here is a link to the W&C Act. Anyone who does any trapping in the UK should familiarise themselves with it.
  10. Daily Mail article on Steve Caple Another good interview given by Steve. Bunnies, bunnies, everywhere........
  11. Totally agree with you there Ian. If it ain't broke, why try and fix it? The action of the Kania and the Bodygripper lends itself to vertical trapping.
  12. The point I'm failing to make is that the Fenn is designed to work with its target crossing the plate horizontally, not vertically. If you imagine a squirrel hanging upside down and the action of the trap, it's going to catch across the middle/back end of the animal, not the head and neck; some of the time, if not all of the time - hence the foul catch on camera. They wouldn't put a picture of a foul caught one in the magazine would they? With a magnum, it would make no difference. I think the spring being on the outside would not be a problem either. You could just extend the front of
  13. I was one of the more 'noisy' contributors to that thread. My main concerns were about the dispatch method used - but I think we've done that one to death (if you'll pardon the pun). I'm very sceptical about these vertical type tunnels. Fenns are designed to jump up and grab the victim around the top of the body. If the target hits the pan head or top of body first, where is the trap most likely to catch? Around the bottom half of the body would be my guess, which is why the chap being filmed had a foul caught squirrel in one of those traps, and had to go back to his van to get a
  14. I remember years ago, someone on the TV pumping foam into a system of mole tunnels and then carefully digging it all out. Fascinating stuff. I've never heard of it being used to control moles though, and I suspect that you are either having your leg pulled, or someone has 'blasted' the pitch and then rolled it. Noel, Jeyes fluid doesn't work - I'm sure I'm not the only pro trapper on here that has seen lots of jobs where it has failed - it's also illegal, because it's not an approved repellent.
  15. Also illegal (its not an approved repellant), and will not work.
  16. Dont use MS Live - it doesn't use FTP, which you may need at a later date, if you want to upgrade (it happened to me). Tripod offer free sites, with an easy online editor. You can also use software like dreamweaver very easily with it. If you want your own domain name, with no ads, it'll cost you about US$8 per month, payable with paypal. Like I say, avoid anything to do with bill gates like the plague...........

IP bans don't work mate. I was IP banned from UKPCO (cause they don't like me, lol) but I can still go on and read it etc via a proxy server. I think AOL all have the same IP addies as well. Leave him where he is. At least you know who he is then

He will just re-register with a different username. At least we all know who he is now, and can keep an eye on things. If he re-registers, we won't.

    poacher killed

Oops! I think I may have upset 'King'blaster'Quad' a little bit.......... :realmad: Can someone who has proper information about this information share it please? Then maybe we can shut the idiots up once and for all. Who were these lads, and what were the circumstances? I'd really like to wipe the smug smiles off these peoples faces............ any chance of a link?

    poacher killed

Without getting into the rights and wrongs of poaching, some of those replies are out of order. I happen to know who Mr KingQuad is, and if he is on here, I hope he reads this thread. I've taken action to have this idiot removed from the Guild of British Molecatchers. People like that give proper molecatchers a bad name. Be sure your sins will find you out...........................................
  21. This is a classic example of why I don't like cage traps, and amateurs using them even less. Why set a trap when you do not have the correct equipment to dispatch the fox? That poor thing has been sat in the trap waiting for the inevitable, and now it's got to endure a journey as well. It's just my opinion, but I do think it's wrong to try and trap a species without the necessary experience or equipment to deal with the victim appropriately.
  22. Are you sure it wasn't Joe, with his laser gun?
  23. You are technically not allowed to ride a bike or a horse on a footpath. BUT, I don't see a problem if you don't bother anyone. Just get off and push if you pass anyone, and it should be fine.

Molly, I totally agree with you, and I took time to read some of Turks previous posts and topics before replying. I'm not suggesting that Turk has done anything illegal. I think I may have been misunderstood here. What I'm saying is that we can all shout and scream about grasses as much as we like, but there are people on here who are constantly watching out for illegal activities, whether we like it or not. Ian and the moderating team have made it clear that there is very little that can be done about it, as these people will continue to reregister and watch the site. I
