I've got zero interest in football. My boys love it. Missus takes them to tournaments and what knot. I played as a kid but grew out of it ...lol I was more interested in guns , treehouses , beating and fishing.

Yep I did same for aug/ sept , been demoralising, be nice to have some sun to look forward to instead of bills lol..

Big pit is definitely worth a visit , I used to live nearby. There used to be two different tours the modern large mine and a rickety small one. As with all Welsh museums, its free entry..

I had to look it up...

Well the same can be said about lots of food process sites, most can't handle what's produced and owners/shareholders don't want to spend on expanding, effluent always seems to be last on the list , they'd rather pay petty fines and increase production....a cheese place I've worked, for example can't handle their own effluent, constantly brimming bunds and local farmers paid handsome to remove it, probably getting dumped on fields, Italian owners I believe. Same can probably be said for half the food process companies in the UK , they've put the death of the Wye ruver down to the chicken proce

I read that at while back , I feel like the odds are against me surviving the journey, just waiting to be that first fatality.... -
Cheers , we're in Devon , but everything I read mentions firecrest has a bold white patch above eye,and a snazzy black stripe through the eye, which these do not, so I'm still going with gold crest

I've got one , they're a money pit , if you find a good example with low mileage and full service history then probably a good shout trawl through a few FB groups and you get a feel of what's involved. Mine has had extensive servicing done by a mate, all the fluids , gearbox flush, they eat tyres, I'm doing about 25mpg I spoke to him Friday about chucking a new steering pump on it and flogging it. I like it , it's big and fun, but I can't justify sticking £100 in it every week, his disco just cost £700 in tax , check XC90 models and years as some are £500 tax. -

I think we decided on gold crest , in my mum's garden in her new little place, my missus put a one way film on windows so they do come very close up...

My mate in the valleys , he got a job in a nearby con club, he was invited to have a feed at the buffet , he found the big prawns a bit tough , as he crunched his way through the shells. Later then with a gifted apparently very expensive red wine he poured himself and I some in a pint glass and topped them up with lemonade lol, he, as all of us, now has an appreciation of good grub and how to cook , and he knows a fair bit about wine too.

Why isn't there a march on parliament to protest about illegal migrants? Surely that would gain far more support than a football meet up on st George's day?

I tend to believe there were previous civilisations before iceage looking at it just makes sense to me , water levels, astronomy. Watch time team and some of the leaps they make lol, humans just go around in circles and have done for a lot longer than Victorian historians think

I thought you meant me in regards to fasting..lol. Erm ....I think there is definitely something true when you think how old the planet is , the buildings that follow the stars the underwater structures , I don't think any of that is untrue, they do get cranklike at times especially when talking about ancient tech and boat people , snakes .

Well fasting is fairly new, ie this week, (did shorter one a year back) my ideal diet which I'm doing now is keto ISH so meat and veg dairy . No sugar no simple carbs like bread pasta no orange juice . It works for me and is easy. I found the fast easy as the rules are simple , no meal planning or cooking just need a kettle lol, I woke up this morning euphoric and felt I could've gone a lot longer , but the fryup was devine , swapped the hash brown and toast for an extra egg. I've a couple of £50 wagers with colleagues see who can lose two stone by July. I need to be more active but frozen sho

Been a few times, twice at comp, Fent joined us for the big platter amazing , bud came when we were civilised and had a plate each lol

Brain is wired , slightly light headed , mild tiredness in the day. Fairly easy week welding small stuff at the bench which helps. Tea coffee and lots of water. I feel like I could keep going tbh, but I won't, I may see how I feel next week . A colleague in work does two days every week for a few months, but he eats a lot of shite the other five days...

It suits me , there's so many avenues and industries. Different processes and materials, ships, oil and gas, food process, aerospace car restoration , film sets , all sorts. I avoid cars , like mchull says not easy, either rust paint or paper thin ,normally all of the above. The trades around welding are worth looking at too, platers, fitters, fabricators, inspectors , commissioning engineers, cad. I'll be looking for an avenue off the tools in a year or two, had enough or the light, eyes aren't what they were five years ago, I enjoy some of what I do more the fitting side of late, especially
