  1. Ah its okay we've got a new border chief.... That works and resides in Finland , can't make this stuff up....
  2. Just a couple of these this evening...
  3. For a cherry hipflask don't think you'd do better than de kuyper cherry brandy, bit sweet for me all that. Stones ginger wine and scotch (whisky Mac) or straight single malt like aberlour 10/12 or similar more up my street or if really cold a slow gin. The best winter warmer I ever had although I'd been on stop since dark and was bloody freezing was given to me by some guns in the back of a landy, bullshot. Basically a thermos with minestrone soup half vodka and loads of Tabasco and I swear you could feel it travelling through you veins lol.
  4. Do you think wagyu is closer to bone marrow than steak?
  5. You can't use Google maps what you on about...
  6. Christmas dinner sorted this year then
  7. Oh dear , Judges have decided we need to accept the Palestinians now....couldn't make it up. https://youtube.com/watch?v=B3b-hSw3MOo&feature=shared Designed for Ukrainian refugees, about to open the floodgates to Palestine
  8. So only did some dropshotting, maybe a bit short between weights and hook , can't feel my fingers , but had a jack in an hour.
  9. Well piss poor planning , got snagged up, couldn't feel my fingers and struggled to see/ feel knots gonna rerig tonight and take two rods , maybe call in tackle shop for some Ned rigs. Apparently slow is the way forward in cold water . Probably set drop shot up with creature bait on light rod and rig the other up with a clip and tie able wire trace. Round two tomorrow ....
  10. Doesn't feel like spring here snow drops and a few catkins, bloody cold and grey....
  11. Well I'm unemployed currently so been out for a new fishing permit , probably head out this week , try for a few perch on the canal... I had a chuck for 20mins earlier couldn't feel my fingers so I'll glove up for the next foray....
  12. I agree and I'd like to be in a similar place when the time comes, having independent, self reliant, inquisitive kids is definitely the goal. Thankfully I'm not currently trying to deal with them flying the nest lol.
  13. I did say it in jest , but it's also a bit of a throwaway comment , failed as a parent if kids aren't moved out in twenties, I guess you could say this if the state provided affordable housing and didn't control the UK market through building the last few governments have made it a manifesto pledge and all have failed on it. Rent is at an all time high in value and demand, it's next to impossible to save for a mortgage whilst paying rent. You hear more stories of people moving back into parents along with their own young families to allow opportunity to save a deposit just for the opportunity
  14. Get off your high horse sir...lol

Great game from England, smiths kicking fell apart but they changed the kicker quick enough, atoji kept his head down , bit intense at times and plenty of handling errors from both but England kept fighting and stayed disciplined, what a finish.
  16. USAID going to have a staff of 290 from 10,000 Spent 15 million dollars on condoms for Taliban lol wtf and there's loads of mad ones
  17. Well I had a phone call delaying the next start so now I got to get busy trying and get a start next week for a short term next mber preferably where I've just paid down a grand on digs lol. Always fun and games..
  18. Many agencies use umbrella companies, people have come unstuck 10 years after the fact find out the umbrella never paid their tax. They do seem to have died off a bit now , I just go cis with deductions made at source , two companies pay me gross but I'd rather deducted.
  19. I've always taken what I've had to , I'd probably try and get closer to home if possible . My thing was always build a portfolio of companies and contacts, do a decent/reliable job and then know your worth. I'd move for a couple of quid on the hour and if I didn't want a job I'd say the rate was too low , to maybe help someone else negotiate , certainly smaller companies can appreciate the value of someone who's productive. I worked with guys that don't do a day's work in a week there's plenty in the game some, that bounce around the country , or go under the radar on big jobs Occasionally the
  20. They certainly over play pasta , olive oil and pizza . I'm all for salad but it ain't really cooking. I'm off to an Italian tomorrow as is my youngest lads wish his brother had more sense and chose a steakhouse. Personally I could of got them a great present for what this restaurant malarkey is costing and it won't be a reoccurrence that's for sure, but I'll suck up £20 for cheese on toast for a minute. Also they harp on about there tomatoes , which came about from central America in 1500s and pasta probably Chinese.
  21. Well , guesstimation , he's always getting his bits out on that show with the jock and the Frenchman. He apparently said to a co worker in front of crew I'm gonna turn you over and feck you in the bum , previously done for burglary, and he's Italian. At best he's daft at worse he's probably shagging everything. Tbh if it ain't kids I couldn't care less. And if aligations are anonymous to protect their own careers then they can't be seriously looking to protect anyone else.
  22. Me and the boy making a dent in a monster haggis made by my local butcher.
