Yes I get that, I don't see much development, we're patching up roads they're spending £18m on M5 repair near me as concrete under tarmac was dodgy. Trains are overpriced, huge parking charges, potholes everywhere, I think certain sectors are impressive. weapons , universities, unfortunately we've gotten lost with corruption, wokery, privatisation of services done badly and left unchecked. China is a communist dictatorship, a country that starved 50/60 million of its own people and would do it again in a heart beat for the good of the party, no freedom of speech, execution buses, facial recognition everywhere, points for following the rules . I can't think of a worse existence outside of war....

Sorry to hear that mate. I don't think you get over that. Not that I've experienced such loss , but I think I've focused on the living and without being patronising I always say that people live on in memory and sharing stuff about them. We're exposed to death more as we get older but it doesn't make loss easier. Have a beer for him and give me a shout if you want some abuse.

I'm off to Wales soon as a mate has received a double council tax bill for not residing £3.5k in the property, some smack heads broke in and nicked all the copper including gas and he's got to move in for a while so will be testing my plumbing skills out for couple of days, god bless pushfit....

In Kenya with a mate , travelling about but mostly Germans in the hotels and the staff called them the prisoners as they never left the hotel grounds. My mate did all in in Barbados which I think he enjoyed, when he returned he was on the other side with the Atlantic and his missus got mugged for her sweets on a jungle quad tour thing lol. I guess if you've got a waterpark and restaurants etc you can fill a few days but I couldn't stay on one site all holiday,

Not the same thing obviously, but I fancy a boat on the broads at some point , kids can have a drive I can fish, pub lunches , don't think it'll be this year but maybe the following year. I wouldn't do a cruise personally , stuck on a ship full of tourists , nah.
