  1. I'm a fan of smoked fish salmon and haddock but never enjoyed sushi maybe because I've only tried supermarket stuff but it doesn't appeal tbh
  2. Sausage and cheese patty baps went down well earlier , may do them again tomorrow for breakfast....minus smoke alarms
  3. Turkey got another 45f to go on the smoker , everything is ticking along nicely now. Kids were up 3:30am opening stockings made to go back to bed at 4. Jesus Christ on a bike. Just cracked a cider , computers getting set up upstairs leaving me in piece to cook , good times...

  6. Got an attempt at gravy in the oven too with chopped chicken wings and a load of crappy veg. And stock etc give that a few hours fingers crossed else it's bisto

I've par simmered spuds to death, they're resting salted ready for fridge made leeks in white sauce , gonna precook sprouts which I'm doing in a pan with butter and parsley, that'll leave me pigs, stuffing balls and turkey (on the BBQ) and carrots and peas for tomorrow. Got a gammon in the oven kids want it with pineapple rings? And new potatoes for tonight , I'm hoping they sleep well after that ...lol

  10. Yep fair one I told you I think about the Canadian saying how they started their trucks with a remote and kept them plugged into a heater while at work , some crazy cold temps there

  13. I'd cook them separately, do crackling hot and fast and ham as standard, but yeah I guess leaving it on will draw out more moisture but don't think I'd bother
  14. I lather salt on before cooking , but if I'm doing honey roasted I don't do crackling , soft fat lathered in honey and English mustard

Well neighbours fence on my boundary has rotted out , they're housing association and the association decided it would be fine to replace a 6' feather edge with 4/5' chainlink , to both of our horrors. It's an absolute abortion of a job they've done , concrete posts at all differing heights and distance gaps underneath and both of us have reactive or dog aggressive dogs . So I've offered to supply and fit 22m of feather board which I plan to do over Christmas , hopefully before . I'm gonna masonry screw some timber uprights to the concrete posts they've thrown in the ground, and as it's quite
  22. That's me done , having two weeks off , it's been a long year I'm glad for a break , time with family , DIY , cooking, a few walks and chilling out . Hope you all get a bit of a break fellas.

    I picked up an air grinder with a hair trigger once it had a brand spankers 40grit flapper on it , took a v out of the end of my finger , office insisted I go to hospital, they wanted to pull my nail off to stitch the end feck that , they scrubbed it with electric brush , I hate air tools lol
