Don't beat about the bush grey man lol. Well the fact still stands that Russia is the enemy, killed people on British soil, hacked our systems and they've invaded Ukraine.

My father was taught in the serpentine as a kid ( god forbid full of aborted kids and dead puppies) he swam in London clubs , pools were everywhere then. It was more about opportunity to learn than school responsibility. But if schools feel they are responsible for sex education, religious education, inclusive education and whatnot then I'd rather they taught swimming....

I think some do some don't , some have pools nearby or on site. My pair had lessons which were rubbish so I said to the missus find something better or don't bother with it, she landed on a private school with two pools that does lessons as part of their charitable percentage, it's been brilliant tbh and they're in the academy swimming. I think the secondary they will end up in will take them swimming but I'm not sure and they really need to learn whilst little imo

No I agree , just another sign of lack of management and investment in public services , they're all too busy placating shareholders and all got their noses in the trough.

I thought they'd been charged under trafficking more recently

There's a charity shop in a nearby town purely for raising funds to build a pool, there's also people hiring out a private pool . I guess they are expensive maybe the water companies should fund them...lol

Listening to radio , 1000 pools shut since 2010 , national average has dropped to 70% of year seven children being competent swimmers , drownings increasing. I went to my boys gala last week and it was a painful watch with many of the kids competing unable to swim some not able to complete a length and presumably thats the best of them else they wouldn't enter them .Another symptom of austerity kicking in. We could do with more pools in my area for sure.

Initial talk from the US doesn't look good for Ukraine, it's probably worth looking at what his statement may achieve. He's saying zelensky needs to call elections , which I don't see being very simple when many are either at war or have left Ukraine. See how the EU reacts , what the defence spending increase will be and what effort it has on EU US trade. Hopefully he's not just pandering to Putin. Apparently the US wants travel restrictions lifted on the Tate brothers a seemingly odd request in the scheme of things....

Nah I'm definitely pro reform, I don't see a better option within our democratic process and I don't see a better one historically in any other form of governance.

Ukraine is a sovereign country though and Putin told the west he was doing training exercises on the border. They've killed 1.5 million people between them but Ukraine was never invading Russia so I feel the blame lays at the door of Putin without a doubt .

Do you mean he pulled US troops out of afgan as promised....

Yeah about right...bit like saying Brexit would mean Costa wouldn't be able to to employ anyone if we left the EU, who cares they never paid much tax and certainly didn't employ many brits

Need to force an election soon, hopefully a vote of no confidence, think of the US and UK alliance if Farage gets in. No rush as I think public opinion has a way to go yet , be good if they could appeal to Scotland somehow . As for Ukraine I don't see the EU getting much of a seat at the table , again Farage has far more chance, vance met with atf in Germany. I think the US are clear in wanting to stem the invasion I mean mass migration...

Another sound fella , although I didn't know he was pro EU , he's right he could hide his cash off sure , they'll always be a loop hole for the wealthy, but he's honest about it, I think there should be a threshold saying 10million on farms , if you've got a 50million farm you can lose a bit over a generation.... That said plenty of farmers voted remain , predominantly so they could keep their eastern Europeans in a caravan out the back...
