I picked up a second hand setup for less than half price so got myself a sgs2 9' , 7/35gm rod and a sharp little Preston reel and some braid. It'll give me a chance to see if I get a bug for it....

I've been looking at the htos , I like them the savage gear just seems too well advertised by the sponsored guys , the jap stuff is out of price range and the budget stuff isn't quality. I'll have a look, cheers

Did Catalonia last year was great beach holiday, hired a car had a cottage I found online with pool etc but it was a lot of driving, we enjoyed , cost a fair bit. Just got back from Cornwall had good weather , got a house for the price of a caravan on Sykes , didn't have the drag of flying etc kids went on mackerel boat , crabbing was their highlight, did a river boat and beach days, had an unexpected rnli tour , lots of seafood,was fantastic tbh took both dogs .

Well after a few short in-between casts with my lure rods and failing , lots of surf heavier short rod cheap crap braid ...any recommendations on bass rods? I'm looking at YouTube , thinking 9' few different brands probably something mid range with fast action....maybe 10/40g range...cheers in advance

Pure gluttony today, I did us all a full English, we stopped for early lunch that went on a while I had a couple of beers then food came out , I had mussels , missus had seafood tag, kids had cod and scampi. I just woke up from a food coma cause we've a table booked at 6. Tomorrow will be sandwiches......
