  1. alright chartpolski mate i think the guest looking at your profile must of been a member that is no longer a member and there posts turn to guests .. ..john They looked at 10;30 last night, who has been deleted since then ? Cheers.
  2. Take a look at my profile and you will see a guest has looked at it. Cheers.
  3. I've had a "guest" looking at my profile. I didn't think this was allowed. How can they look at our profiles, yet we know nothing about them ??? Cheers.
  4. Get a decent lawyer and challenge this !! Rabbits are NOT considered "GAME", according to the Game Act !! You may have been arrested on the charge of "being in pusuit of game OR coney"; but coney is certainly NOT protected under the Game Act, and has no hunting season, nor is it illeagal to take them on a Sunday. Cheers.
  5. Dread, when I first read that comment, I thought you said "SNAKEBITES" !!! LOL !!!

  6. It looked like a pair of curs running a dropped hare and making very hard work of it ! Cheers.
  7. Hmmmm; A good thread 'till the arguments started ! I have a "Lurcher x Lurcher"; Beddy/Grey x Deer/Grey-Whippet/Grey; and also have an F1 Deer/Grey..Is one better than the other ? I suppose it's what you want from your dog. My "Lurcher!" is a good "all round dog" but the 1st cross was brought in for a specific purpose. Of course, there are Lurcher to Lurcher crosses that will do what you want, but the old "Hybrid Vigour" takes a bit of beating, for certain tasks ! Cheers.
  8. If you are going to post on an open forum......... at least make it understandable !!! Cheers.
  9. ??????? Cheers. what im saying is doxhope is proven but if my boy dont make the grade i wont put him across anything just because of a name and if he does make a good dog think i would still go back to source of where i got him or lads like cook or bill doc who have proven there knowledge You're right mate. They are extremly well bred Deer X's; but I'll do the same as I've done with every dog I've ever owned....... and give them the best chances they can have ! Lima will be entered when I think she is ready, and I hope for, and expect, the best !! Cheers.
  10. Sorry Davey, I was all confuseed there !! Hows the pup ? I'm giving mine a "dropper" tomorrow, she's huge !! 28" and 65lb !! Hope your pup is doing well !

    Cheers, Richie.

    Cheers, Richie.

  14. This is a very good thread, which I've followed with interest. My older brother bred a few litters of non-ped Whippets, many years ago, and as far as I know, never sold one of the pups... they were kept for his own use or given to friends, and some turned out to be class dogs. I've had running dogs for 45 years and never bred a litter. Why ? .. well I've never had a bitch that was so good that I would go to the trouble of breeding from ! I've had some good dogs, but there was allways pups available from dogs and bitches as good or better than mine ! I have a very decent bitch now, who has fou
  15. Good, hope the dog makes a full recovery Cheers.
  16. Now this is not having a go at the poster, or anyone else; but if your dog has an injury and you are not sure what to do..... don't ask on here...... GET IT TO A VET !! Yes, there are pleanty of people on here who have vast experience with dogs, but they can't see the injury, so don't know how to treat it correctly ! Do the dog, and youself, a favour, and take it to a vet if you are worried. Cheers.
  17. I saw this nonsense in the papers, then saw it on T.V. News. Shortly after there was an advert on ITV with a dancing fox advertising on-line bingo, then another ad with a live fox advertising beer !!! I know I'm a conspiricy theorist, but can any one see a pattern emerging before a general election where the opposition party is talking about repealing the ban on fox hunting ? Poor little foxes being killed by chickens; humanising them as bingo playing, beer drinking cuddly little things !!! Cheers.
  18. I got the pics from the Coniston Hunt a couple of years ago, they were only two of many great pics they had for sale. Cheers.
  19. Zap, I went out with the Border back in the '70's; I would class them then as a Farmers hunt ! No red coats and fancy Hunter horses then, more like Barbour coats and Fell ponies !! They were, and still are a "proper" hunt. Before the ban, foxes were there to be kiled, it is sheep country, after all ! We are spoilt for choice, with hunts in the North East, but the Border was always my favourite, they still meet at Otterburn, I think. Cheers.
  20. AFC; you live in the North East, we have some great hunts up here, The Brae's 'o Derwent; The North Tyne; The Border.... Just to name a few. Get yourself out for a day with one of them.... you won't be disappointed ! Cheers.
  21. A.F.C., could your dogs compete with hounds on this type of ground ??? Cheers.
  22. If you have had the dog to the vet, they should be able to give you far better sdvice than anyone on here, they have seen the dog and are trained in this, we on here aren't. Good luck, hope it works out ok ! Cheers.
  23. No mate, but I had some trouble with a council owned Nature Reserve Quarry near Newcastle. Worked out well in the end ! Cheers.
  24. i got taken to court 5 times by tilcon quarries the police charged me with taking ground game (conies) without the land owners permission the fine goes up every time they summons you 25yrs ago it started at £20 plus cost it was all part of the game we used to catch hundreds of rabbits sell them for a pound (dressed) i made more money then than i do now,if they think you are breaking a 100yr law these days they take your vehicle of you how times have changed Don't know what year it was, but I was fined £5 + 16sh and 6pence court ex's for catching rabbits on the railway [the olde
