    I was lamping in the late '60's and '70's, with much inferiour equipment than we have available now. I imagine there were people who left quarry in the field then, just as some do now. A disgraceful waste to leave quarry lying in a field or wood, and done by a minority, I hope ! Cheers.

    HERES SOME REASONS FOR YA THE WHIPP/GREY, wil have more staminar than a pure grey, and more speed than a whippet, it wil genraly be larger than a whippet. Good reply, Tomo. This has been the staple cross in the non-ped Whippet racing scene, and I notice that they are now being crossed with Salukis, more and more, to get that extra early speed for the smaller fields. I remember back in the 60's and 70's 1st cross Whippet/Greys murdering hares; not 3/3 dogs but could take one or two with ease. Cheers.

    I wasn't going to comment on this anymore, but feel I have to, as people like Simon(MB)tuck, have wanted this comp to fail since day one ! It was LDR's slip, and he slipped on a rabbit that run fine, and made cover; Bruce hit the cover and came out with the rabbit. LDR immeadiatly said "MIxie rabbit" and threw it in a ditch, it was never put in his bag. SH then started lamping, but I shouted to him that it was a mixy rabbit and didn't count. He answered "the dog didn't know it was mixy, so it counts for me". I stopped the heat and we discussed it, the two lads agreed it would count and I a

    I found that the best thing is to get rid of everything, the fuse, cigar connector the lot ! Less things to go wrong ! Just crimp female spade connectors to the lamp wires and tape them to the battery when ready to use. Cheers.
