  1. The mother to my Deer/Grey pup is an Irish coursing greyhound bitch, sired by the Irish coursing champion Mafi Magic, sent over for free for the breeding. My pal has sent Deerhounds and Teckles over there to lads for free, it works both ways with genuine dog lads ! ? ! Cheers.
  2. I've imported three dogs, one from Saudi, a Doberman given to me to replace an old Saluki gifted me, It would have been churlish and disrespectful to not have brought it home when I retired. My daughter was given a miniature Manchester Terrier, born in the Ukraine, given to her in Dubai, taken to Australia, then brought to the UK. A chihuahua, bought by my missus in Australia when she felt sorry for it in a pet shop window, then brought home. I was offered one of these pups as a gift by Hamed , but fate conspired to make it impossible to get it home; So, out of four d
  3. The only Azawakhs I've seen have been show dogs, and like the majority, bare no resemblance to their working brethren. Ive long had a hankering to import one of the more "exotic" running breeds, even though our quarry and land would be unsuitable. Perhaps I'm just an old dreamer and that's why I now persevere with the deerhound crosses, even though my protege assures us that the only runner worth having is the saluki hybrid coursing dog, but I've took him on as my apprentice, and I won't give up on him, however hard it may be......? Cheers.
  4. I'm certainly no expert, but the Azawakh, to me, seems to be more "squarely" built than the Saluki, apart from that and regional differences, I can't see a lot of difference between the two. ? Cheers.
  5. Although mine were feathered, I've seen a few smooths in c.o.o., that one looks like an Azawakh, but photos can be deceiving. A few from Hamed Ghunaims kennel in Abu Dhabi ; A beduin bred feathered I was gifted in Saudi; Cheers.
  6. Just been talking to my second cousin, once removed, his uncle has been talking on Facebook to a man who is a New York taxi driver who claims the "Oscars Slap" was all a set up, paid for by Bill Gates, and choreographed by Dr. Faustus, (I think he meant Fauci), to distract us from the FACT that Covid has never existed, or was deliberately manufactured and released by the Americans and Chinese, he's not sure which scenario is correct. And also that the vaccine is meant to kill us all off, or make us into compliant robots, again he's not sure which, and again, paid for by Bill Gates and deve
  7. She lost her hair due to alopecia, and Chris Rock joked about her new haircut for staring in a remake of GI Jane. Cheers.
  8. Not staged. The woke snowflakes are already crying for him to be arrested and his oscar to be cancelled. Chris Rock declined to press charges but the LAPD have said if anyone lodges a complaint they will investigate. My only complaint is that he only slapped the c**t instead of decking him ! If he mocked my missus about a medical complaint, he'd be waking up in hospital, needing medical treatment himself....... Cheers.
  9. I had Bruce in my kennel a few times, and ran him a lot with my bitch Delta. Billy, I forget the name of the springer, Bruce and Delta, Bruce and my old deer x Lima. Cheers.
  10. Talking of Talking of grotty places, I was once on a three day layover in Bangkok, and bumped into an old pal who was going down to Pattaya to play a darts match for money. He was a tight f****r, so we got a baht bus down there and stayed in the Koala Bar hotel. What a shit hole ! I opened the wardrobe door and the rats scurried out of holes they had chewed in the back. Place was filthy, cockroaches everywhere, but my mate said "what do you want for 70 baht, (£1) a night " ! I stayed up all night at the bar, then got the bus back to Bangkok ! Cheers.
  11. I've been lucky enough to have been invited to do all sorts of hunting and fishing all around the world, but one invite stands out, and it was just a couple of hundred miles down the road. A pal invited me to have a go at goose shooting one September first. Four shots and a greylag, a Canada and a brace of mallard in the bag ! Please forgive the fuzzy pics, it was pre-digital cameras ! My pal was amazed, he reckoned people pay hundreds of pounds for goose shooting and don't manage a bag like that all season, never mind in one morning! Right place, right ti
  12. Getting the thread back on track; I've never really had big bags of rabbits, it's not something I went out for. I think 36 or 39 was about my best with Delta and Bruce the rescue dog; Id get more pleasure out of a good winter daytime hare with a deer cross, Or a big dog fox with a game beddy cross, But I enjoy every aspect of the game ! ? ! Cheers.
  13. I was at Westerhope Whippet Racing Club this morning, most of the people were in their 60's to 80's, I had some great craic, I was in my element ! ? Cheers
  14. I got my first dog in 1965, when I was 13, I'm now 70, sorry for being presumptuous ? Cheers.
  15. You. Didnt you say you were working dogs in 1954 ? If I'm mistaken, my apologies ? Cheers.
  16. I met an old guy years ago in saudi, he was a meat importer from New Zealand, I was in my 20's , he was in his 70's, we got talking about pig hunting and I asked if, when the dogs had an ear hold, did he grab a back leg and kill the pig with a knife ? He said did he f**k, he stood off and shot the pig with a .303 ! I asked what if he shot one of the dogs by mistake.....he said there were plenty more in the pound ! Sounds sensible to me. Cheers.
  17. This is just the latest in a lot of Iranian backed Houthi Yemeni rebel missile strikes on Saudi military and oil facilities. The only reason this is getting publicity is that it is very near the race track where the Grand Prix is being held this week end. The storage facility that has been targeted is a storage depot for diesel and Jet-A fuel for the nearby power and desalination plants and Jeddah Airport. The area used to be miles from Jeddah itself, but now urban sprawl has extended all the way up the corniche to this area, and is quite heavily populated. The Houthi's, an
  18. That's within sight of my daughter in law and grandsons house I was on the phone to them last night. Cheers.
  19. "There's them that talk about it......and there's them that do it". Theres loads of one, and not so many of the other ! ? ! Cheers.
  20. I would honestly apply a complete moratorium on all overseas aid until we put our own house in order. How mad is it to borrow money and pay interest on it, just to give away when we are TRILLIONS of pounds in debt ? Charity starts at home, it's a disgrace people in the worlds fourth biggest economy have to choose between heating and eating, use foodbanks, sell their house to pay for social care........and its no good just blaming the tories, the country would be even worse off if Corbyn was Prime Minister, McDonnell was Chancellor and Abbott was Home Secretary. Its a damn shame
  21. Great Britain is the third biggest giver of overseas aid in the world........... Cheers.
  22. Back in the 70's a couple of pals of mine had an old caravan at Stirling and went up on a Friday night and came back on Sunday night and lamped and ferreted the whole weekend. They used to get huge bags of rabbits, and sold them around the clubs and pubs of Newcastle for £1 each and had any amount of buyers. I went a couple of times with them, and it was great fun, don't know if I'd enjoy it so much now though. The numbers aren't there now, and you're more likely to get thrown out of a pub or reported to the police these days for trying to sell a rabbit ! But it's good memories
