Honest question mate; why are you so scared of plough ? Surely to be an “elite “ dog it should run on any ground ? What happens in a grueller when the hare takes the dog from good ground onto plough , does that cancel the match ? Cheers.

I don’t know mate , but Sleight also had a whippet stud at the time, hadn’t done a days work or won a race but was bulled up, ( pardon the pun) , as another of his super studs . Cheers.

I hope he does everything thing you say, but do you think all coursing breds are as good as him ? Ive seen more that couldn’t catch a rabbit in a phone box than ones that made the grade , so why should I take the chance on breeding dogs that takes 10minutes to wear out a hare ? Im virtually guaranteed to get something near what I want by the breeding I’m thinking of. ” If there’s ever been a better roe dog” …….dear god, ( no pun intended). Cheers.

No mate, if I was going to take pups from her it would be something like these big non-pedwhippet/greyhound saluki types are not what I want for what I do. Absolutely nothing against them I’ve had pures and crosses, but I need something that can take a hare or roe in double quick time and move on, saluki types aren’t what I’d be after, just something that can keep my freezer full. And mC , please don’t tell me yours can do all that, maybe they can, but I’d be awfully disappointed if I bred something that was no good to me. Any how, I’ve never bred a litter in m

Just been talking to Max, he bred Razzamataz, litter mate to England Expects, Wilfey Wells and Run Of The Hawk. Sired by Westmead Hawk. Dam Move Over Marie . I knew there was a connection ! LOL ! Cheers.
