    I’ve consistently said that the NON-PED WHIPPET is the fastest dog in the world over a sprint distance, 150-200 yards. Now, you will come back and say “but the non-ped whippet has greyhound in it “, and I’d agree, but as you’ve said in the past that a coursing bred will beat a greyhound in the run up, that should be immaterial. If you’re not just on a wind up and honestly believe a coursing bred will beat a non-ped whippet over a sprint distance, I cant see the point in having the conversation. Cheers.

    Why would I bring a whippet ? I haven’t had a whippet since the early 70’s, I’ve run deerhound types for the last 20 years ! Cheers.

    Hamed Ghunaim, who made the film “Hounds Of Arabia”, gave me a dvd of himself and Sheik Maktoum flying their falcons on bustards. A pal gave me a dvd of him flying his Harris hawk on bolted rabbits. Worlds apart, but equally exciting and enjoyable ! Cheers.

    Seen a couple of golden eagles when Northernlite invited me to run white hares in the Cairngorms, and there was one circling just a few feet above my head. Cheers.
