I will be getting my 2 the jab when they come into season because i,ve done the breeding thing & its not for me.As Mooster has quoted he,s tried all 3 & spaying is for him when i take mine to the vets this spring i probalies discuss it with the vet about spaying i,ll make my desicion then wether to spay or not.....

  6. Citizens advice should sort it out CM if it gets out of hand.I had a problem with a gun dealer many years ago kept fobbing me & me parents off with lame excuses once the CA got involved the gun was fixed with lighting fast effiency

  10. The layout is the same,the lines are disused now,i know that they have developed the garden centre & old farm buildings round the back of it.Never been there since the late ,s but there still should be plenty of sport

On our main hunting land up at Weardale the landowner is in his mid 30,s like meself he lets us do anything,go anywhere but we always ask first.When we bump into him he always spends time talking to us & at the end of the day we,ll offer rabbit or 2 but he never wants 1.We always get him & his family a good drink at Xmas which i think shows our appreciation of his generosity .My other land is a small holding which my aunt & uncle own so i come & go when i please

  17. Andy,that had to be the railway lines on the south side of the river running along Lambtons All the pheasants used to cross the tracks to feed on the corn fields Used to get LOADS of ferals under southwick bridge,Austin and pickersgills etc............. Your right about the pheasents

As carefree teenager we used to ferret the railway lines next to a Lords estate used to piss the keepers off because they could,nt chase us British Rail land just had to be careful of the Inter cities flying down the lines Also used to go down Sunderland docks with the air rifles to shoot the ferals & longtails in the old paper mills,ropery & the likes.Would,nt dare do that now tho....

I will be taking the plunge into longnetting in the spring months ive just read the Longnetting book by Jon Hutcheon & found it very informative & shed some light on a craft i have never done or seen done i have also read the vast info placed on this part of the forum .My question for the moment is what am i looking for in a hazel tree i,ve Googled the image but im no Titchmarsh what will i have to recongnize this time of year?? i know it has dark bark but thats it :wallbash:Any help is greatly appreciated Andy....
  21. Up in the North east lads i ferreted with as a teenager used to call the ferts "monkeys","smellys".Fitch,stinker & fert are names i have only become aware of since being a member of this forum.I think fitch has something to do with the pelt of the poley,bloody fur trade

The vet will have him sorted no problems one of my poley hobs had a tooth removed because of infection the puss was coming out of his eye socket :sick: The vet said it was the first fert he had operated on it was the mid ,s then & a lot of my mates had ferts said "just knock it on the head" for the sake of £20 operation...
