  3. Thats the spam for you.... just like when all these it/rich daddies girls have these small lapdogs dressed up & shoved into a desinger bag that costs more than i earn in a year but thats why there the most powerfull nuclear nation in the world (sorry about the politics)
  4. Hi viz orange for me easier to see when dropped in brambles,etc.....
  5. Cage environment 2 jills for me, Hobs in breeding season may get a bit aggitated towards each other,Hob & Jill unwanted hassle of kits, building extra cage to house her when giving birth unless Hobs had the snip
  6. I have 2 polecat coloured jills 6months old did have 2 hobs,3 jills when i lived at home as a teenager all those years ago.....
  7. I have kept hobs together in a court plenty of room to avoid each other if neccesary during the breeding season when hormones are running wild. The occasional squabble did happen but nothing to severe however i wouldnt keep 2 hobs together in a cage environment could possibly result in "CAGE RAGE"
  8. Any of the HW full power range of rifles are very good.Excellent build quality, accurate & easy to maintain. However they are a good weight fully scoped up!!My first gun was a BSA Meteor some 22yrs ago then i got my teenage hands on a HW35 which was the dogs b****x a few years later when i was strong enough to hold one on aim i got a HW80 proper rabbit stopper now i use AAs410c can,t lift heavy guns anymore being middle aged & that.......
  9. I have 2 jills 6months old now 1 is putting winter fat on no problem while the other is a bit of a size zero!!Both healthy, lively animals fed twice a day rabbit& day old chicks i suppose there a bit like humans some put weight on easier than others.........
  10. Nice shooting there Exactly what the tree rat deserves
  11. Wabbithunter i dont think using a compressor to fill your gun is recommended.Compressors hold moisture in the bottom of the tank you need to put the cleanest filtered air into a pcp.Your best options are a air bottle, stirrup pump or filling at a diving shop.If you did go down the compressor route by the time youve bought the adaptors, fittings, etc may be more cost effective to do 1 of the 3 above. Also consider the safety issues with compressed air
  12. Hi there wabbithunter i own AA S410c .22 excellent rifle.Lightweight, handles well in the field& as accurate as the person using it.I fill mine via a logun stirrup pump as i only shoot weekends but if you are using it more regular get a bottle!!Calibre is down to personal preference dont want to get in to the tragectory debate, pellet placement, kill zones,etc.....
  13. Got my MK3 from him with 2 collars £173 all in best price anywhere i could find
  14. Fraser, rats are great sport but in my own opinion you should not put your ferts health at risk.Longtails will bolt with some disturbance from shovel, dogs digging them when possible or smoking them out.As a niave teenager i once used one of my best jills for ratting because my mate said "she,ll be okay" result one badly hurt ferret & one friendship dissolved .However that is just my opinion
  15. Glad you got your s410 sorted stealth would have had my bottom lip wobbling as well seeing a blowtorch being put to my barrel as well I have double loaded a couple of times heat of the moment type thing if you no what i mean
  16. Would,nt use my ferts for ratting to much risk to them .I would smoke the longtails out let the dogs & shovel do the rest :laugh:Also consider the risk of Weils disease which is basically fatal if not treat quickly.......
  17. Ive loaded 2 pellets into my AA S410C & got away with it.Not wishing to sound smart but how did you manage to load 3 up there??

  19. I lost a young jill many years ago to a adult jill.I had a large run where i kept 2 adult hobs 2 adult jills i had no problems initially as this youngster was about 10-12 weeks old. However went in one morning to feed them & the quietset jill which i,ve ever owned was happily munching on this youngsters head .To rub salt in the wound this adult jill was,nt a good worker just kept as a pet needless to say it went to a friend who wanted a pet..
