Petrol prices up here round about £1.03-6 Diesel average £1.11 have seen £1.16 .Red diesel ppl .Why don,t we all convert to LPG??what,s the point that will only hit the roof as well....

Had no choice to have open sights on my Meteor & HW35 as a teenager in the mid ,s could,nt afford even a basic 4x32.Found them spot on for close quarter feral shooting in the old mills & bridges in Sunderland docks ...those were the days!!Even managed to bag a rabbit or 2 as well,don,t know how i would fair now in this clinical age of the PCP shooting a springer is something i have,nt done for a few year now

If your happy with .22 s400 why change calibre with a s410c?Have a few plinking/shooting sessions with your mates .177 see what you think.Both calibres have there advantages the the calibre debate is down to personal preferences i prefer .22....

Well said Malts you can get that stuck record feeling sometimes.Im not for one minute saying we should ,nt offer advice or opinions but this forum has a vast back catolouge of all sorts of info on fert welfare,breeding,etc..Also the art of reading books on ferts can top the old grey matter up -
Ive been quoted £45 inclusive for each jill from Roker Park Vets in Sunderland.A £165 for a fert can,t imagine what they would charge for a dog to be spayed

On my land i normally get up there for first light 4am ish depending where i shoot when up there.Some areas i stalk,some i sit & wait for them sunning themselves.I have shot rabbits side by side if your using a multi shot pcp there a lot quieter & quicker than a springer however it depends on how YOUR quarry behaves on YOUR shoot,good fieldcraft,understanding of your quarries habits & shoot will give you results...

Sorry to hear that Distemper thats very unlucky if thats what has happend to her.Have,nt heard of a case of that in my lifetime effecting dogs or ferts... -

The best way to aviod any infections when ferretting rats is not to do it,smoke or dig the longtails out.Some people use ferts for ratting which is their choice, personally i,ve did it a couple of times until a jill i used came off in a bad way & the possibility of Weils disease to man & beast(s) & a load of other nasties.... .Each to their own tho....

My top tip for breeding ferts, DONT!! each to their own tho... there must be enough info/discussion on breeding on here have you done a search??
