If it was me I'd just take a few steps back in training to reinforce his retreive. Keep it lighthearted and carry on in the house and make the retreives in the garden for a very short distance and finish on a winner, then gradually increase the distance and distractions in the garden before moving on to other areas.......

I know the Caucasian dogs were used a lot as patrol and compound dogs in the Soviet Union and many eastern block countries but their are only a handfull in this country so you are limiting your options. Also they don't have the trainability of many of the traditional guardian breeds and have reputation of being a little "sharp".

Are you a council tenant? If so then yes but if its a private residence check your deeds as it will stipulate if you can/can't keep.........

Unfortunately if you want fuel economy buy a fiesta. Running an engine on short trips with a cold engine will always increase fuel consumption and your autmatic box will make economy worse...........
