    Don't mix the raw meat with dry, it defeats the whole object, mine get about 60% chicken wings or chicken carcase and 40% minced lamb, beef, tripe, veg, fruit and some fish.

    I saw a puma in Lincolnshire in the late 90's, I know what I saw at close range in daylight and I also beleive there are a FEW escaped exotics out there but I also believe a large number of "sightings" are of dogs, domestic cats, deer etc etc............. How many times must we hear "wheres the proof", yet the same calls carry on when the proof is shown???? The fact is that some exotic cats have been physically caught (FACT), a puma in Invernesshire, Swamp cats in Hampshire, Lynx in Suffolk and Northen Ireland.     Mark, it sounds like a good idea to have a few days away on some different ground and the chance to work your dog, my worry for you would be screwing up your own hunting by paying punters doing too good a job and thinning out your quarry and the scrotes who would come back on the land after and help themselves. If you have over 10,000 acres it would be impossible to keep an eye on it.

    My personal opinion is that individual dogs do have a sense of direction, whether good or bad and it has nothing to do with obedience or ability.

    I got over 30,000 on mine, very good tyres but I also found the cheaper general tyres to be excellent............

    Theres an old guy who we still see in his vardo travelling around Lincs and Notts, I know Juckler and Chris Hickling see the same guy, the old style looks romantic and the thought of sitting around a fire does appeal but unfortunately the lure of sky, a warm bed and the other creature comforts are too well established............
