  1. I saw these dogs at the midland yesterday, trigger were you the fella with the dog or little fella with the bitch? They look big strong dogs, i will be the first to admit when i first read about this cross i winced, im not a fan of husky types and found them pretty intractable and thought they would make a lurcher that would be hard work and untrainable, a mate has spoken to some of the lads working them and they sound impressive so perhaps my first thoughts were wrong. Must admit i'll stick with what i know and im happy enough but perhaps IN THE RIGHT HANDS this will be a very usefull cross
  2. If the windows are open i cant lick them.........
  3. Great minds think alike........and so do ours
  4. Normal business will resume soon enough And does the coach have air con?
  5. This can only be answered by you knowing the dog. For me and my last pup, that would of been too much, im in no rush, BUT for your pup that may be fine
  6. At the risk of posting too many serious replies in one day..............Im agreeing with you fellas, just saying some get tagged MORE than others, i dont for one second believe that when dogs were regularly working foxes they didnt get tagged, especially with any sort of regularity.........
  7. Tomo. How longs a piece of string? A proper dog to me(only my opinion) is a dog that has proven itself over several seasons and regularly, not once a fortnight, and perhaps occasionally that dog has been pushed beyond its limit and still performed. The thread title "how much work is too much" is another question..............
  8. I agree, as i said in my post my bitch had a few scars BUT not as many as some dogs which had seen far far less, knack dogs may take less punishment but yes they still do take some.........
  9. Was it a wind up????? Or when it all went tits up is that when he decided it was a wind up?????????????
  10. so would you say the more work the dog got the less scared up it would be as he/she would learn what was coming once it caught its given quarry?? so then later on if it was a quick learner then it would still do the given job with out being scared up No, thats not the point i was trying to make at all, some dogs want to kill stuff, some want to fight it, some will have a knack and rarely get bitten, some will get bitten every outing........
  11. Tbh you could start an e petition to increase the funding of cream cakes being used in animal experimentation on mars. Will never happen mate........
  12. yeah it is my lab cross is a spitter , she didnt work till she was three, late starters Really mate, really???? He has put enough :whistling: emoticons when asked if its a bull cross..............
  13. If i dog a litter of cubs and kill all 6 and the vixen, and i weight them and the total weight is 38lb's, can i count this as a 28lb dog fox and 3 dormice? The forum is full of clowns...........
  14. Depends if you are refering to fox dogs, takers of edible game will obviously be different. Pre ban I have owend dogs that that looked different, dogs with rough coats that have been bitten during the season but after a few weeks rest they look like they have never seen a thing, also had dogs look heavily worked and had a bitch that took them regularly during the season but she only had a few scars on he rmuzzle, she seemed to be a knack dog and throated most and rarely got bitten..............
  15. Rabbit fleas are host specific i believe................

  18. I don't usualy paunch foxes Or catch them you southern softy
  19. If i packed up hunting i would still keep my dogs until old age, unless a very very close friend wanted to run them. I would still keep a pet dog if i was a non hunter........My retired dogs stay here until there health deteriorates or there quality of life suffers............
  20. Typical prick comment, enjoy seeing a dog in pain do you? Total cock.........
  21. I would say even outsiders looking in could see some of the posters at the minute aren't right in the head, and not a true reflection of of normal humans, besides hunters. At first glance anybody reading would think most posters have a missing chromosone, and anyone wanting to use quotes from the site could fill their boots in 2 minutes flat............
  22. Unfortuntely the lunatics have taken over the asylum, from the outside looking in we must all look like totally retarded fuckwits, we are trying to sort this with the help of members using the report button but its a slow ardious fight, im not sure if this idea would help, or mean you have nobody with any sense posting on the rest of the board, You could end up with one good section and a pile of numpty shit which im sure would be detrimental to the forum, also i feel for genuine new members joining, i dont think segregation would help.............
  23. I sense an attention seeker, first his dogs were in the process of being stolen so he ran in the house, found his gun, came outside and took a shot (all this took place whilst the person was climbing the fence), and now you have been "raided", these threads scream "Look at me, look at me, im important too"
  24. Shocking, and such a scary thing to happen, must admit when i saw the thread i expected some sick jokes, im sure out thoughts are with the families........
