Used to depend how you taxed it , 2 mates had them one was taxed as a motor vehicle ( he didn't have a bike licence)he paid dearer tax than the other and didn't need an helmet on . Other mate got cheaper tax but had to wear a helmet as his was taxed as a bike ..

See on one breath your saying that you don't see what problem is. Then on other your talking about security. You can't have it both ways. See how much he will knock you off it , if he takes all the electric stuff away , all you need is the ram and a pipe running from it to your single acting valve. (You'll probably have to get one made up) Just check for oil leaks round the ram and it coming down on it's own and make sure the rest looks safe to use
