Yes I would agree... The original thread starter, has asked the question,.but personally, I would not use a Greyhound over a Sheepdog.... I much prefer to utilise a fast type of lurcher, as opposed to a pure race track dog... Mind you,..when line breeding Collie crosses,..there is often a throw back. She waits quietly in the wings,..so ya best be ready Amazingly enough, if you are only a hedgerow hunter and don't require a lurcher to do 'other tasks',..these blasts from the past ,often work out incredibly well, and are they talked about,.. for years to come... You wouldn

in lay mans terms Neal , whats that mate lol, all I know is any x if 1x what ever the breed its 4/8 s / 4/8s , and supposedly the same % . But ive heard a lot of people say the bitches genes do seem to dominate more as the base line , to a greyhound sire .? it deff did with my pup, and the rest of litter , as they 6 pups deff took to her, but size I think to the sire 29in greyhound .Are you saying a 1st cross will always result in pups of equal percentage or that sometimes they will throw one way or another? Can't work out what you are trying to say mate? on paper a 1x % is 4/8

I thought mike brown whippets were bull/whippet/grey? Lol. heard that myself so mike browns whippets = lurchers so does he call them whippets to get more money for them ? i think the kc papers that comes with them helps with the ££££s
