  1. Sniper version is good in fac. More air efficient, more power potential, more shots per charge and the Bullpup design lends itself to long barrels more than other designs as the breech is right at the back of the gun. The barrel length is pretty much the overall length by design.?
  2. Put ‘em in a plaggy bag with a bit of lube and rub them around a bit to coat them.
  3. ? I get what you’re saying vm, but in the nineties I used .20 & .25 almost exclusively. I used a bsa supersport .25 for clearing ferals from factory units, and also rabbits around industrial units at night time. I eventually sold the bsa, and regret it now. I also used a Theoben sirocco carbine .20 for most other airgun jobs, and to be fair, it took a lot of vermin. I still have the Theoben and wouldn’t part with it as it shoots as well as any other mechanical air rifle I’ve owned or used, it’s deadly accurate and it does seem quicker to the target than .22 but more akin to .22 than .177 i
  4. I’d agree, I was thinking about a 12ft lb crown in .177, but I think I’d be paying for adjustment ability that I can’t use. That, I would find frustrating. I don’t think it would be worth having one in .177 fac though. It would be interesting maybe, but very limited use I’d have thought. I’m not sure if I need a .25 fac air rifle though, I’ve no requirement to chase .22 rimfire performance, and I’ve got a free slot for another .22 rimfire anyway. So that’s my dilemma?. Anybody got a .20 fac adjustable from 12-26ft lb? That might be interesting/useful ??
  5. Yerr, dog walkers...why is it they always “get lost” but still think they’re on the footpath?? what rifle are you using on your rounds Stavross?
  6. Good shooting, are they your mop stales shooting sticks Jimmy?
  7. Yerr, I like the crowns, so much so that I might have to have one, erm, I mean I need one?
  8. Yerr, but they might be lying. Best ask Santa, get a more reliable answer ?
  9. I don’t know about the mk3 wildcat, but I’d read somewhere that a bloke had a wildcat running at high power and it was a bit jumpy and didn’t handle the power like an impact. That would have been an earlier model though Phil. Maybe worth turning yours up a bit to see how it handles the power before spending out on a .25 wildcat?
  10. Yerr, I’d considered that idea. Of course, with the new model 007s pard there’s also the option to put your rifle in the river if you fancy. That alone has got to be worth the extra price? ?
  11. How much shorter is the new 007 compared to the old one? I tried the original 007 and couldn’t get on with it being so far back.
  12. Ahh, you’re making me wish I’d bought the 75 now. That’s a beauty ??
  13. Don’t know much about whirach’s but Weihrauch hw80’s will probably be £150 upwards depending on condition.
  14. That wouldn’t surprise me. His last attempt at changing the general license was a complete failure so he’ll be desperate to find something else to kickstart his next anti shooting campaign crowd funding. His idiot followers will no doubt be feeling sorry for him.
  15. Yerr, I remember them, I used to shoot at a local club and some of the lads had feinwerkbau’s, original 66 and 75 and anschutz 250. They were great at the time but out of my price range. In fact, I nearly bought an original 75 last year and wish I had as it was a lovely example. The feinwerkbau 300 series were more reliable long term I think, as their patented sledge system was a simpler design. The original 66 and 75 has a complicated opposed piston system and the piston washers were also prone to fall apart. Not an easy fix. You probably know all this anyway.
  16. Few more vermin and plenty about, also getting the odd mouse and a lot of rats in the fenns at the moment.
  17. What sort of diopter have you got on those Tom?
  18. Get yourself another airsporter fella, but you might find that nostalgia sucks more than the ex girlfriend ?
